Jaskeerat Kaur: Do What You Love (Content Creator From India)

Think about why you have started something before you decided to quit? Is that all you want at the end?

1. Tell us about your background and journey.

Hey, there! My name is Jaskeerat Kaur, born and brought up in New Delhi. I am a student by profession, who’s pursuing her bachelor of commerce at Delhi University. I am 21 yrs old and love to explore different things, interact with different personalities, and make content on Instagram and other social media applications.

In 2019 I started my journey when I just entered college. At that time I wasn’t sure about it but during the lockdown period (2020), when I started creating Comedy Content - basically on school diaries. The immense love which was shown by my audience made me heartfelt and later on, I touched my 10k Instagram family in January (2021).

Building my feed was not my only goal, the main goal that I always wanted is to spread happiness. Instagram gave me wonderful opportunities- I worked as a protagonist in various music albums, made various content with some known influencers, and got an opportunity to meet the Bollywood stars.

It sounds very fascinating but it takes a lot of hidden hard work!

In the year 2021, many things happened in my life, which made me remain inactive on Instagram which was the worst. The whole year my social media graph got downwards which made me think Shall I quit? It’s not for me? am I wasting my time? Because every time I upload my content the reach was almost dead.

Afterward, I decided to stay positive and thought to give it a chance once again. Day by day my content was getting what it deserved. And most of my Reels touched 10 million views, in fact, more than 20 million views. It took me almost one year to build my Instagram family from 25k to 28.5k and the last chance that I thought I should take helped me to reach an audience from 28.5k to 51k within 1.5 months.

My Instagram journey is all about the ups and downs we all face during every phase of our life.

It taught me that failure might be an option! But giving up… is not a choice.

It’s okay to cry, it’s okay to fail, it’s okay not to get what you deserve but it’s not okay to quit.

Think about why you have started something before you decided to quit? Is that all you want at the end?

2. What led you to start your page on Instagram and what is it about?

I always love to see people smiling and that’s why I created my Instagram page.

My Instagram bio tells all about my content’ “Creates that Relates”

I create content that is relatable, funny, and entertaining.

3. How would you distinguish the term blogger from an influencer?

Term blogger is to educate or give information to people about a certain field or profile but influencers are here to make an impact that’s why brands choose influencers more.

4. Is it financially sustainable to be an influencer today?

Of course, because everyone can make an impact or inspire anyone in today's era just the main thing which matter is are you doing it correctly I’m doing this on Instagram for almost 2 years but things settled this year reason is I focused on myself and if we focus on ourself then definitely it will impact our audience and it will pay us because technically we’re growing and brand will approach and will pay too.

5. What do you think influences consumer behavior?

In my opinion, different factors influence consumer behavior. Being a commerce student, I think that the list is never-ending but mainly, It includes our brand image, audience’s response, their memory, age, profession, etc.

6. What is your idea of success or your mantra in life?

My idea of success is that “Do what you love and if you feel like quitting, remember why you started.”

7. How can someone become a successful social media influencer?

Well, it takes a lot of dedication, hard work, planning, and interaction with your audience and other influencers.

Be open-minded, don’t think about what others will think! Social media is just a platform to showcase your talent and no one knows how many people are being influenced by you….

8. Which is your favorite book and why?

Well, I am not a book lover but “The 7 habits of highly effective people” by Stephen R. Covey is one of my favorite books because it is not only a practical guide to get better habits but it changes your perspective on how your choices, both in physicality and mentality, can change your path for the better or the worse.
