Movie Review - The Ledge (2022)





The Ledge movie is one of the best movies in 2022,it has an interesting premise for a thriller. It's well .It has succeeded to convey the fear and over straining that any one would feel in that situation at the same time creating an atmosphere of enthusiasm and excitement to the audience. Synopsis (Non-Spoiler) 


The journey of climbing the two girls changed to a tragedy when Kelly's girlfriend was killed by boys, then she had to escape towards a dangerous mountain with the evidence in her camera.To save her life and proof of those who are looking for it,in order to hide it,after being surrounded by a mountain face to be waiting for her killing on a twenty-foot.



Themes Involved


The movie revolves around the story of survival of a girl stuck on a ledge and fighting a psycho killer.The movie starts with excellent climbing scenes in a picturesque hilly land.Kelly sees the boys throwing Sophie off the hill and she records the whole scene in her camera but can't help.The boys see her recording and they follow her,Kelly runs to her camp and leaves the cabin taking all her belongings with her. The four keep on chasing her at one point of time having no other way to escape. 


She started climbing a steep ridge as she knows none of the four is as good as Kelly at climbing.The ledge is full of suspense and some scenes that can take your breath away for a while.The film does end with emphasis on one point that whenever facing obstacles won't bring women down.

The Bottom Line 


It has been one year since Kelly's boyfriend died as a result of a rock-climbing accident and in tribute to her lost love, who also taught her how to climb  cliffs, Kelly wants to prove to herself that she can climb the very cliff that's too high from which he fell.Sophie is with her as incorporeal support and climbing partner.
