Whatever you want to do or wish to do, get up right now and do it. You’ll figure out how to do it eventually.
1. Tell us about your background and journey.
I was born and brought up in Gurgaon. I was the kid who asked hundreds of questions for no good reason. The Internet always had the answer. From there, my journey to self-learning began. From playing video games to breaking and making things, I spent my time learning things I was curious about. I started customizing and blogging about Android OS when I was in school. Which led me to learn tools like photoshop and the next thing you know I’m making VFX videos. Science and technology came naturally to me so I did my computer science and engineering at Panjab University. I’m currently a product designer and I make reels for fun.
2. What led you to start your page on Instagram and what is it about?
A relatable video I made on reels to share internally at my workplace was the starting point. After posting it, I received a lot of appreciation on Instagram, which led me to start making more videos. With each post, I got a better understanding of my audience, my niche, and the type of content I should create to stand out. My current sketches incorporate comedy with unexpected visual effects.
3. How would you distinguish the term blogger from an influencer?
Even though both categories have some impact on their audiences, I believe that the term "blogger" refers to people who blog about something mostly through written content, words being a crucial component of their work. Influencers, however, influence their audiences through audio/video content rather than written content.
4. Is it financially sustainable to be an influencer today?
Several years ago, most people would have answered no; but now that the creator economy is thriving, it is very much feasible. To become a successful influencer, you must offer value to your audience. As long as you offer some value to your audience, you can build a sustainable career.
5. What do you think influences consumer behaviour?
We as humans get influenced by everything we pay attention to. Where do people spend most of their time nowadays? It’s their phones & laptops. The way we consume media has slowly been moving away from TVs and actors to social media and influencers. The oversized t-shirt you want because you saw an outfit video on IG, or watching youtube reviews before purchasing something, these tiny online relationships of trust are integral to how we get influenced every day.
6. What is your idea of success or your mantra in life?
Start. That’s it. Whatever you want to do or wish to do, get up right now and do it. You’ll figure out how to do it eventually. We’re constantly blocked by our mental thoughts, fears, and rejections so much that we lose out on actually making amazing stuff.
