Tammie Reed - Be Unique With Your Style (Fashion Blogger From Atlanta)

Stay consistent, that is the key! So many people fall off after a short amount of time.

1. Tell us about your background and journey.

I'm originally from the Midwest, Cleveland, Ohio to be exact. I owned a successful nail salon before getting into the media industry. I moved with my family to Atlanta, Ga in 2005 and started/created my own tv show called, Talking with Tami. The inspiring tv show at first highlighted fabulous women in business. After creating a buzz, I started traveling with my show and later launched an entertainment, lifestyle, fashion, and beauty blog and the rest is history!

2. What led you to start your page on Instagram?

I saw a lot of friends doing social media telling me about the platform. They informed me that I should do the same since I had a lot of content, photos, and videos to share from celeb interviews, red carpet events, etc with my brand.

3. Do you think that there will be a new style statement or fashion obsession with the new normal?
If so what would be your choice and why?

I'm not sure right now because of the recession, people are not spending as much on fashion but yet being very frugal which is a good thing. But with fashion, it always finds its way to sneak back in and reinvent itself lol!

4. Is it financially sustainable to be a fashion blogger today?

I think it can be. You just have to be very unique with your style and have a certain audience/following. No matter what age too!

5. What is your idea of success or your mantra in life?

I think success is all in the mind and just truly believing in whatever you want to accomplish in life.

6. Who is your favorite fashion blogger and why?

I have so many but one I can think of right off the top of my head is friend Stella Adewunmi of Jadore Fashion

7. Do you have any tips for people who want to join this field?

Stay consistent, that is the key! So many people fall off after a short amount of time.

8. Which is your favorite book?

Black Designers in American Fashion.
