Anna’s mental health starts to become extremely bad as she is being haunted by spirits and ghosts which becomes unbearable for her to tolerate. She also believed that her mother was killed by Rachel and the sisters try to convey this to their father. Their father Steven Ivers does not believe anything his daughters are trying to say, so to prove him about Rachel they do some digging and learn so many gruesome things about Rachel which leaves them horrified.

Anna’s Personality

The more details you take in, the more you'll realize how nuanced Anna's personality was throughout the entire movie. Anna had schizophrenia, which caused her to frequently experience hallucinations and imagine things that did not actually occur. Since most of the film was seen from Anna's point of view, viewers won't be aware of this until the film's climactic scene, and processing each scene will be challenging. However, this is what makes the movie interesting. Anna does not recognize her mental illness and believes that the reason she was sent to a mental facility was because she was self-harming. There, she converses with another sufferer who tells Anna about her experiences. Since her hallucinations increased as a result of this, Anna has caused a great deal of damage. What makes this movie outstanding is the psychological element. Emily Browning did a wonderful job in her performance as Anna.

What Is Schizophrenia?

Schizophrenia is a severe mental illness that can hurt a person's thoughts, feelings, and behavior. People who have schizophrenia may perceive, perceive, or feel unreal things, such as hearing voices that no one else can hear. They may also have unfounded ideas, such as the notion that someone is trying to get them or that they possess superhuman abilities.

The fact is, even if they don't make sense to others, these experiences are quite real to persons with schizophrenia. Dismissing their emotions or telling them they are imagining things is not cool. Instead, counseling, medication, and support are often used in the treatment of schizophrenia to assist patients to manage their symptoms and enhance their daily lives.

Many people with schizophrenia are still able to accomplish what they love and enjoy happy lives with the correct support.

Is The Uninvited A Horror Film?

The Uninvited is a horror movie, but in the end, viewers will realize that the frightening sights were actually Anna's hallucinations since she was seriously mentally ill and had not fully recovered when she left the mental facility. The movie is clearly not a horror film, but the appropriate term is a psychological thriller.

What Happens After She Is Discharged From The Hospital?

Anna returns to the home where her mother died after being released from the hospital. Accepting that her father is now engaged to Rachel and that she is their fiancée horrifies her. When she keeps questioning her father about why he wasn't wearing his wedding band, he finally loses patience and screams "yes," and she learns one day that he is soon to wed Rachel. Although Rachel wanted to get along well with Anna, she was unwilling to reciprocate. Even yet, she made it clear that their relationship need not follow the conventional stepdaughter-stepmother dynamic.

The Most Loved Character:

Without a doubt, Alex Ivers did a fantastic job of playing her role as it actually was. The two sisters had a very strong friendship; they were always there for one another, no matter what, and Alex was undoubtedly the outgoing, bossy, and wonderful sister that we all wish we had.

My View

I would definitely recommend each of us watch this amazing movie, with no jumpscare, no drama, and no unnecessary scenes that are not relatable. Everything was perfectly depicted and you may have difficulties understanding a few scenes since it's quite confusing. I suggest you pay attention and watch every scene without skipping any parts in between. A perfect story explained perfectly. This movie is definitely more like the plots written during the early days they don't make movies with plots like these anymore. The climax scene was my favorite and I don't want to spoil it for you so id recommend you to watch it.
