I was born and brought up in Lucknow, then for studies, I shifted to Mumbai and got settled here. My career journey has been great learning till now.
I started with Varun Bahl and Anita Dongre. I interned for them while I was a student at Pearl Academy, Mumbai. After my course got completed I worked for Payal Singhal, Agami By Neha Agarwal, and Manish Malhotra and now I am working for Kalki as a Designer.
Honestly speaking it's not been easy at all but I feel learning is a space where anyone and everyone can explore themselves and I did the same throughout my journey, I learned, took experiences, and moved ahead.
2. Fashion industry is often considered women-centric and stereotypes men? What's your opinion?
I don’t believe in stereotyping any gender or cast in fashion, I have worked with 3 different male designer bosses and I feel they are great at what they do.
Also with many male amazing designer colleagues and friends, I have the same feeling. Fashion is an expression that can motivate, and inspire anyone be it any gender or cast.
3. How can one become a successful fashion designer according to you?
To be a successful designer I feel you need to put a lot of hard work, sincerity, and dedication towards it, it’s not as easy as it may look from far.
A lot of people have this misconception about this industry that there is a lot of glamor, and parties happening here, yes they do happen, and we do have fun at times but before that, there is a lot of chaos, sleepless nights, and stress that goes under the table.
