Prasad Vidhate - Keep Learning and Keep Experimenting (Actor | Content Creator with 320k+ Followers)

Identify your weak points and try to overcome them. It's not a thing that once I get money, I will have a decent physique and do movies I will be an actor NO, the moment your start working on your acting skills and polish them consistently you are an actor.

1. Tell us about your background and journey?

Since I was a child I wanted to perform,  be it an annual function, dance competition, weekly assembly anything but in my school the tall, fair and smart, and pre-learned students got an opportunity to do all this stuff and according to the school all I was eligible was for maths olympiad and Hindi rashtra bhasha. after my 10th standard, I asked my mom to let me go to an acting workshop and then I got to know the skills that I lagged in order to act on stage and on camera.

I acquired those from 2010 to 2016 by doing small roles in plays, backstage of dramas, going as a background dancer, assisted in youtube videos. And I directed my 1st play in 2016 while my graduation in civil engineering which got 4 prizes in one of the well-known inter-college competitions in Pune.

That's how my journey started in this field and then till 2020 I directed 8,9 plays and contributed to more than 17 plays in Pune. I gave the NSD entrance twice but failed.

I won the CHATURASRA award in 2019 and the best actor in 2020 in PUNE. when I completed my graduation and was about to complete my master's in construction management lockdown happened and still, I had hope that I could do something in the field of acting ultimately the social media revolution happened and I started creating videos on youtube but the videos did not perform well and I took a full-time editor job and did it for 1 year and while doing it my 1st video went viral. and that's how I started my journey in content creation.

2. Did you ever think or dream of being an Actor?

My love for acting started at the age of 13 and I haven't imagined that I could be an actor coz I didn't have any of the skills required for it.

Ultimately failing and struggling to acquire those I became confident and took a decision in 2018 to be a full-time actor.

3. How can one approach their career and have the confidence and belief to become an actor?

It's all about practicing consistently. whatever you want to pursue do it smartly and take proper training for it.

Identify your weak points and try to overcome them. It's not a thing that once I get money, I will have a decent physique and do movies I will be an actor NO, the moment your start working on your acting skills and polish them consistently you are an actor.

4. If not this, what would you be doing?

If not an actor or a content creator I would be a great video editor and pursuing my VFX training, a voiceover artist, would be doing theatre, or at the end, I would be a decent professor.

5. For a complete outsider with Inroads, what advice would you like to give?

It's very difficult not only for an outsider but also for any individual to get the work and succeed in the work that he wants to do.

I would like to say that keep working and polishing your craft, if you do not get the opportunity, create one, and let it out through social media.
meet new people, learn, and grow as much as possible.

6. What's your mantra of success?

My mantra for success is to keep learning and keep experimenting.

7. Which is your favorite book and why?

Life's Amazing Secrets: there is a lot to say but I can summarize it in 2 lines.

The book from which I learned to look at the situation from a different angle and seek happiness in what I am doing.
