It’s very easy to get disappointed, frustrated, and lose motivation. But consistency keeps it going. Don’t overshare. Don’t do what you are not comfortable with. Find your niche, is it humor? Beauty? Kids? Etc. give it time.
1. Tell us about your background and journey.
I come from a very middle-class family and have been married for 18 years now. I have two girls, and my husband is an actor. I have never been ambitious and enjoy being a homemaker, but I have always enjoyed modest fashion and liked sharing pictures. The lockdown happened, and my journey as an influencer began.
2. How do you manage the time and effort required to maintain quality content across multiple themes within your platform?
Honestly, my work is convenient. It’s an effort to be consistent and share content now and then, but I don’t work every day. I work as per my kids' schedules, which is my first priority. I enjoy being on Instagram, so it makes the effort easier.
3. How do you handle constructive criticism or negative feedback on your content?
Sadly, I get more hate for following Islam and marrying a Muslim than for my work. It’s sad how we find so much time to criticize someone on what they eat or how they pray. However, as much as I would like to respond to that, I just block the person. I have no space for hate on my page.
4. Can you discuss the role of trends and personal style evolution in your fashion-related content creation process?
I have learned a lot in the last 3-4 years; it’s been a self-learning experience. I don’t follow trends if it’s not my niche or if it makes me uncomfortable. I can’t do dancing or singing or comedy. It’s not my style. I enjoy editing my videos, and the quality of the phone helps shoot organic content. I would love to explore more in the fashion-related zone.
5. What advice would you give to other people aspiring to start their digital creation journey?
It’s very easy to get disappointed, frustrated, and lose motivation. But consistency keeps it going. Don’t overshare. Don’t do what you are not comfortable with. Find your niche, is it humor? Beauty? Kids? Etc. give it time.
6. What is a book you love and would recommend our readers to give it a try?
"Forty Rules of Love" by Elif Shafak. It touches your soul and has so many lessons to learn. It’s a beautiful read.
