1. Tell us more about your profession and your journey as a speaker and entrepreneur.

 I have always been passionate about education and leadership. With double masters from Oxford and Cambridge and a Ph.D. from Kyoto University, I have dedicated my career to transforming education through innovative practices. My journey from an army captain to an Entrepreneur has been marked by a commitment to student-centric, environmentally conscious educational approaches. My work as a keynote speaker and TED-ED member allows me to share my vision globally.

2. How did you come up with the idea of Your business and go about executing it?

 The concept for my business originated from my academic experiences and my desire to create sustainable, global educational models. KINGBOURNE International and the ‘Forest Education’ curriculum are the results of my dedication to innovating teaching methodologies. Execution involved leveraging my academic insights and professional experiences, aiming to nurture the unique capabilities of the younger generation.

3. What has been the biggest challenge that you faced and how did you overcome that?

 My biggest challenge was integrating the high academic standards of Ivy League Colleges into the Indian educational context, which was resistant to change. I overcame this through detailed planning, a pragmatic vision, and by fostering an ecosystem that accepts young leaders and embraces innovative educational models.

Important Qualities of a Successful Entrepreneur: Persistence, vision, and adaptability are key. My journey reflects the importance of dreaming big while being open to change. The ability to learn from failure and maintain a student-centric approach has been crucial for my success as an entrepreneur.

Factors for Running a Successful Business: Understanding the needs of your audience, maintaining high standards, and constantly innovating are crucial. For me, blending academic excellence with sustainable practices and technology integration has been fundamental in running successful educational ventures.

6. What are your tips for first-time and aspiring entrepreneurs?

 Believe in your vision and pursue your passion with resilience. Engage in continuous learning and network effectively. Use your unique strengths to create a distinct brand, and don’t shy away from challenging the status quo.

7. How can one overcome the hurdle of lack of funds when starting up?

 Start with what you have and focus on building a strong value proposition. Seek out mentors, apply for grants, and consider crowdfunding. Strategic partnerships can also provide resources and exposure without substantial initial investment.

8. Which is your Favorite talk ever and how did it change your life?

Favorite Talk: One of my favorite talks was a TEDx presentation where I shared insights on originality and sustainability in education. This talk profoundly impacted my life by reinforcing my commitment to transformative education and global collaboration.

9. What impact do you want to make in the world?

Impact I Want to Make in the World: I aim to reshape the future of education through innovative practices and visionary leadership, ensuring that it is sustainable, inclusive, and adaptable to the changing world. I want to inspire others to pursue educational excellence and to foster a generation of compassionate, global citizens.

10. Which is your Favorite book and why?

One of my favorite books is “Long Walk to Freedom” by Nelson Mandela. His life story and philosophy have greatly influenced my approach to leadership, education, and perseverance. It embodies the spirit of resilience and the power of dedicated vision that I strive to instill in the younger generation.
