Authenticity and passion are key to building a meaningful and sustainable presence online. |
1. Tell us about your background and journey
I graduated from Miranda House and then pursued an LLB (Hons). Over the past seven years, I've dedicated myself to content creation, honing my skills in digital marketing and building a strong online presence. My journey has been marked by continuous learning and adaptation to the ever-evolving digital landscape.
I am passionate about creating engaging content that resonates with diverse audiences. Looking ahead, I am excited to leverage my experience and insights as I embark on the next chapter of my career: starting my own business.
2. As a fashion admirer, what are your thoughts on sustainable fashion practices and how do you incorporate them into your wardrobe choices?
As a fashion admirer, I deeply value sustainable fashion practices. I believe in reusing outfits and often share clothes with my sister to maximize our wardrobes. By mixing and matching, I create new looks without constantly buying new items. I prioritize quality over quantity, opting to buy less and invest in timeless pieces.
Additionally, I believe in donating clothes to give them a second life, reducing waste and supporting those in need. These practices not only help the environment but also promote a mindful and ethical approach to fashion.
3. What keeps you motivated on days when you don't feel like working out? How do you create a balanced workout routine?
On days I don't feel like working out, I remind myself of my long-term goals and how great I feel afterward. I also listen to my body, skipping workouts when needed, as it's essential to avoid the hustle culture and prioritize well-being. Balance is key for sustainable fitness.
With over 25k subscribers on YouTube, what are some of the biggest challenges you face as a content creator, and how do you stay creative and inspired?
With over 25k subscribers, staying creative amidst algorithm changes is challenging. Shorts are key for growth, but I focus on creating content that comes naturally to me. This authenticity keeps me inspired and helps avoid the rat race, ensuring my content remains genuine and engaging.
4. As a Forbes Top 100 digital creator, how do you navigate the responsibility and influence that comes with a large social media following?
I strive to be authentic and transparent in my content, understanding the impact my words and actions can have on my audience. I prioritize promoting positive messages and ethical practices, ensuring my content adds value and inspires.
Engaging with my followers thoughtfully and respectfully is important to me, as is continuously educating myself on relevant issues. By staying true to my values and focusing on meaningful connections, I aim to responsibly use my platform for positive influence.
5. Balancing a passion for fashion and fitness with a demanding career as a public figure can be tough. How do you manage your time effectively and prioritize your well-being?
Balancing fashion, fitness, and a demanding career is manageable due to the flexible work timings of my profession. This flexibility allows me to incorporate quick workouts and prioritize my well-being easily. I'm grateful for the ability to maintain a healthy balance between my passions and professional responsibilities.
If you could collaborate with any brand or personality in the fashion or fitness world, who would it be and why
It's hard to pick just one brand because I'd love to collaborate with all of them! But as a huge coffee person, collaborating with a coffee chain like Starbucks would be a dream—I’m practically their biggest customer! It would be a fun blend of fashion, fitness, and my love for coffee.
6. Do you have any hidden talents or hobbies that your followers might not know about?
I'm a Jack of all trades, dabbling in various hobbies like sketching, cooking exotic dishes, and dancing. While I may not be a master in any, exploring these diverse interests keeps life exciting and creatively fulfilling.
7. What are your biggest aspirations for the future, both in your personal life and in your career as a public figure?
Personally, I'm aiming to tie the knot next year. Career-wise, I aspire to inspire and entertain even more people, making a positive impact through my content and collaborations.
8. Is there anything related to fashion, fitness, or social media that you wish you had done differently?
I wish I had started YouTube sooner to build my presence and connect with my audience earlier on. It would have allowed me to share more of my journey and experiences in fashion, fitness, and beyond from an earlier stage.
9. Have you ever had a crazy or memorable encounter with a fan?
Oh yes! A follower once surprised me by traveling all the way from Gurgaon to wish me on my birthday with a cake. It was incredibly touching and memorable, reminding me of the amazing connections and support I have through my platform. Will attach a photo for you guys.
10. What advice would you give to someone who aspires to become a social media influencer like yourself?
My advice would be: pursue social media influencing if you have a genuine passion and a unique niche to share. Don't do it just because it's trendy or everyone else is. Authenticity and passion are key to building a meaningful and sustainable presence online.
