1. What was the moment you knew Oscar was meant to be more than just a pet — but a personality?
The moment I realized Oscar was meant to be more than just a pet was when I saw how naturally he connected with people. His playful energy and ability to light up any room — or screen — made it clear he was more than just a cute dog. He quickly became the star of my content, and I knew we had something truly special.
2. Do you remember how people reacted to your very first Oscar video?
Absolutely! It was a mix of surprise and pure joy. People instantly fell in love with Oscar’s playful personality, and his genuine charm captured their hearts. The comments were full of people saying how adorable and relatable he was, which gave me the confidence to keep sharing his journey.
3. How has this journey of creating content with Oscar changed you as a person?
This journey has taught me patience, creativity, and the value of consistency. Seeing the world through Oscar’s eyes has made me more mindful of the little moments in life. Working with him has also made me more empathetic and understanding toward animals, strengthening my bond with them.
4. Outside of being Oscar’s human and content partner, who is Sushil Kumar?
Outside of being Oscar’s partner in crime, I’m someone who values living a balanced life. I love traveling, meeting new people, and exploring new experiences. I’m passionate about learning — whether it’s through professional pursuits or life’s everyday lessons.
5. What’s one surprising thing about managing a dog’s digital presence that people don’t realize?
One surprising thing is how much time and effort it takes to create content that truly resonates. It’s not just about filming cute moments; it’s about capturing the right mood, crafting a compelling narrative, and editing everything to make it engaging. Behind every post is a lot of planning and coordination!
6. When you're not filming or editing, how do you and Oscar like to unwind?
When we’re not working, Oscar and I love to relax at home, go for long walks, and simply spend quality time together. He enjoys his quiet moments, whether he’s lounging on the couch or playing with his favorite toys. We also love taking naps together — his company is all I need to unwind.
7. If you could give one tip to someone building a brand around their pet, what would it be?
My biggest tip is to stay authentic. Audiences connect with genuine content that reflects the true bond you share with your pet. Don’t try to force your pet into something they’re uncomfortable with or pretend to be someone you’re not. Let your pet’s unique personality shine, and people will naturally be drawn to your content.
8. Let’s say Oscar could talk for 10 minutes straight — what do you think he’d rant about?
If Oscar could talk for 10 minutes, I’m pretty sure he’d rant about not getting enough treats, wondering why his walks aren’t longer, and questioning why I’m always taking photos of him instead of giving him belly rubs. He definitely has plenty of opinions on how I should spend my time — especially when it comes to more playtime!
