"Your power lies in your story. Trends will come and go, but your perspective—your ‘why’—is what builds connection."

Q. You describe yourself as a storyteller through beauty, lifestyle, travel, and skincare. What story are you most passionate about telling through your content?

The story I’m most passionate about telling is the one that feels real. My content is a reflection of my own skin journey—its phases, its emotions, its triumphs and setbacks. I want people to know that skincare isn’t about perfection.

It’s about listening to your skin, being kind to it, and building rituals that serve you, not trends. Whether I’m talking about a calming cleanser or a mountain retreat, my stories come from lived experiences. And I believe when we show up as we are, unapologetically, we help others feel seen too.

Q. From luxurious getaways to serene escapes, travel seems to be a key part of your life. Which destination has left the deepest impression on you, and why?

Maldives—without a doubt. I’ve been twice, but the first time was truly unforgettable. It was a trip full of “firsts”: my first time cycling, snorkelling, diving, watching dolphins swim so close to the resort, and experiencing the magic of staying at one of the most luxurious eco-resorts, Soneva Fushi.

I didn’t even know how to swim then—but I was so determined to not miss out, I actually learned the basics from YouTube just so I could dive into the ocean, quite literally.

The most emotional moment was being underwater, surrounded by marine life. It made me feel so deeply connected to life and the miracle of existence. There was this stillness—just the sound of my breath, and the beauty beneath the surface. No noise, no distractions, just nature in its purest form.

It grounded me and made me appreciate life in a completely new way. That experience wasn’t just liberating; it cracked something open inside me. It reminded me how much I love being free, being close to nature, and how important it is to collect moments—not things.

Q. You’ve had a successful journey in television, from Chandramukhi to Suhani Si Ek Ladki. How has your acting experience influenced your approach to content creation?

Acting taught me how to listen—not just to scripts, but to emotions. It gave me the ability to hold space for different moods, moments, and human experiences. That emotional intelligence now shapes my content.

Whether I’m breaking down a skincare ingredient or filming a travel diary, I try to bring a sense of rhythm, narrative, and honesty to every frame. Being on screen helped me understand presence—and now I try to make that presence feel personal and authentic, not performative.

Q. As someone who maintains a presence across multiple platforms, how do you keep your content fresh and avoid creative burnout?

Burnout is real, especially when you pour so much of yourself into your work. For me, the antidote is staying connected to why I started—sharing stories that matter to me. I don’t chase every trend; I lean into what feels right.

And I take breaks when I need to. Stepping back helps me step in with more clarity. Also, being a skincare nerd helps—there’s always something new to learn, test, or experience. Curiosity keeps the spark alive.

Q. Shifting from television to digital influencing is a bold move. What were some unexpected lessons you learned during this transition?

The transition from being an actor to becoming a digital creator wasn’t just bold—it was misunderstood. When I first started sharing parts of my life—what I liked, what I didn’t—I was met with judgement, often from within the same industry.

Many actor colleagues looked down on it, assuming it was just about seeking validation. But what they didn’t realise is that showing up as your true self on social media takes far more courage, creativity, and consistency than most imagine.

It’s easy to criticise when you don’t understand the vision. Ironically, many of those who once mocked the space now attempt to build a digital presence themselves—but fail to sustain it.

Why? Because this path requires discipline, originality, and the ability to be aesthetic and authentic at the same time. Creating something from scratch, every single day, with no script or team backing you, is no less than running your own business.

Being your own boss, your own brand—it’s not just empowering, it’s transformative. You don’t just play a role; you shape your identity. And for me, that freedom is far more fulfilling than working within someone else’s narrative.

Q. What’s one piece of advice you’d give to young creators who aspire to build a strong personal brand in the lifestyle and beauty space?

Your power lies in your story. Trends will come and go, but your perspective—your ‘why’—is what builds connection.

Be patient, be consistent, and most importantly, be yourself. Don’t try to fit into a mould. The space needs your originality, not a filtered version of someone else. Authenticity is your superpower—and once you find your voice, guard it fiercely.

  1. Debashree’s story was like a guiding light for me. I was confused about what to do next, when every day was a ‘trend race’. Hearing her say ‘your power lies in your story’ made me realize. I started to return to my personal journey – not perfect, but at least real. Granny Game
