Ansh Tripathi Interview
Fitness is not about shortcuts—it's about smart choices and consistency.
Q. To begin with, can you tell us a bit about your journey and what inspired you to help others lose weight the right way?
Absolutely. I used to weigh 115 kg. I struggled with binge eating, low energy, and self-doubt. I tried every shortcut crash diets, detox teas, you name it but nothing ever lasted. It wasn’t until I learned to focus on habits, not hacks, that the weight started coming off. I lost 35 kg, but more importantly, I gained clarity. Now, I help others avoid the same mistakes I made and do it the right way from the start.
Q. In your experience, what are some of the biggest myths people believe about weight loss?
So many! But the top ones?
• You have to eat very little to lose weight.
• Carbs are bad.
• Fat burners or detox drinks actually work.
• You must do hours of cardio.
These myths keep people stuck. Weight loss is science, not sorcery it’s about consistency, a calorie deficit, and habits you can sustain.
Q. You emphasize doing it 'the right way.' What does that mean to you physically and mentally?
Physically, it means losing fat without destroying your metabolism or muscle mass no extreme deficits, no starving.
Mentally, it means not tying your self-worth to the weighing scale. It’s about learning discipline without becoming obsessive. Real transformation happens when your mind changes before your body does.
Q. How do you approach designing a personalized plan for someone looking to get fit?
I start with their lifestyle. Work hours, food preferences, sleep, stress levels all of it matters. Then I tailor their diet and training to be realistic, not restrictive. And I keep it flexible. If it’s not something they can do long-term, it’s not the right plan.
Q. What role do mindset and motivation play in sustainable weight loss?
Mindset is everything. Motivation will come and go especially when the results are slow. But a solid mindset keeps you going even on hard days. I focus on building identity-based habits: don’t just try to lose weight become the kind of person who eats well and moves daily
Q. With so many quick-fix diets trending online, how do you help clients stay patient and consistent?
I remind them of this: “Fast results fade. Smart results stay.” I also use simple tracking tools, visual progress check-ins (not just weight), and regular conversations. Plus, I make sure their plan includes their favorite foods because nobody sticks to boring or extreme.
Q. If you had to describe your philosophy on fitness in just one food metaphor, what would it be and why?
Fitness is like making dal simple ingredients, slow process, and it gets better the longer you stick with it.
Just like a good dal needs time and patience, so does fat loss. No need for exotic ingredients or fancy tricks. Just consistent heat and the right seasoning.
