"For me, the shift happened when I stopped seeing editing as ‘just making videos’ and started noticing the people who were showing up for me."
Q. Krishna, from posting simple edits to building a community of 112K+ people, what’s the story behind how _krishna.core began?
My friends would keep telling me, ‘Krishna, your edits could actually go viral. Just make a public account and share what you know.’ And honestly, that gave me a push. I’m very grateful to find such people around me. One day, I told myself, better an oops than a what-if, and I hit that ‘create account’ button. What began as a small space to post simple edits slowly turned into a community of 112K+ people who vibe with the same vision. This journey is so, so special to me.
Q.You often share tips, codes, and resources. What’s the one editing technique you think every beginner should master first?
Honestly, the first technique every beginner should master isn’t even inside the app — it’s in their mindset. Purposefully listening to music and imagining an edit from it, or watching reels and actually decoding how they’re made, changes everything. The more curious you are, the more you explore the app, the more you tap buttons just to see what happens — the faster you grow.Q. Many young editors look up to you. What mindset shifts helped you go from ‘I’m just editing’ to ‘I’m building something’?
For me, the shift happened when I stopped seeing editing as ‘just making videos’ and started noticing the people who were showing up for me. The support, the constant interaction, the tiny messages saying I helped them, they literally call me ‘editing guru’. It all made me realise this wasn’t just a hobby. It was a community.Q. What’s the most meaningful message or story someone from your audience has shared with you?
There are so many of them, but one in particular still stays with me. Someone once told me that I’ve set an example — that you don’t need to show skin or follow trends you’re not comfortable with to get views. You can grow by building something genuine, something your parents would be proud of.
He called me a capable woman who can do really well in life, and honestly, messages like that remind me why I create.
VN, VN, and VN, just because I have explored the app so much. Stick with one app and use it up to its full potential.
Q. If your phone could only keep one editing app forever, which one would you choose and why?
VN, VN, and VN, just because I have explored the app so much. Stick with one app and use it up to its full potential.Bio
