JOETTE D’SOUZA
You don’t have to choose between being glamorous and being yourself-you can be both, unapologetically

Q. “Fashion | Comedy | Cringe | Mildly Terrifying” is honestly iconic-how did you land on this unique mix for your content?

Honestly, it’s always just been who I am. Fashion is where I find my confidence, how I express myself, feel confident, and show up like I’ve got it together, even on days I don’t.

The comedy, cringe, mildly terrifying side? That’s just my personality. I’ve always had this random, unhinged energy where I’ll say or do things out of the blue and it’s the same with or without a camera.

I’m also an ambivert, so I do have a quieter side when I’m by myself or just zoning out. But the moment I get a little comfortable and start interacting with anyone or anything, this is just how I am. And I lowkey enjoy creeping people out a little but in a fun, self-aware way. So yeah, that mix isn’t something I built. It's just me.

Q. You balance modeling with creating hilarious content-how do you switch between being glamorous and totally unfiltered on camera?

I don’t really see them as separate versions of myself. Both sides come from the same place. Fashion and modeling bring out a more composed and expressive side of me, while my unfiltered content reflects spontaneity and fun. It’s not about switching-it’s about leaning into whichever side I feel in the moment.

For me, you can be glamorous and goofy at the same time. Confidence doesn’t have to look one way, and that’s something I love expressing through my content.

Q. What does a typical day in your life look like when you're juggling content creation, shoots, and everything in between?

My routine tends to swing between extremes. On busy days, I’m fully focused-moving from one task to another and often accomplishing more than I initially planned. On slower days, I allow myself to rest and recharge, even if that means doing very little. While I’m mindful of maintaining balance, I also believe that downtime is essential.

Overall, it’s a mix of high-energy productivity and intentional rest.

Q. Your content feels super relatable and fearless-have you ever hesitated to post something thinking “this is too much”?

I’ve hesitated at times, but not because something felt “too much.” It’s usually when a piece of content doesn’t match the vision I had in mind. In those moments, I tend to refine it, and if it still doesn’t feel right, I choose not to post it.

However, I’ve never held back from expressing myself out of fear. Being unapologetically myself is at the core of what I create.

Q. How did your journey into content creation begin, and when did you realize this could turn into something serious?

It started quite early-I’ve always enjoyed performing, making videos, and expressing myself creatively. For a long time, though, I was focused on a different path.

Eventually, I realised that content creation was something I had always naturally gravitated towards, so I decided to give it a genuine shot. It became serious when people started connecting with my content-when they told me it made them feel more confident or simply brightened their day. That’s when I realised the impact it could have, and it motivated me to keep going.

Q. For someone who wants to start creating content but feels shy or awkward on camera, what’s your advice?

The most important thing is to stay true to yourself. When you’re genuinely expressing who you are, the hesitation starts to fade. You don’t need to have everything figured out from the beginning-growth comes through the process. What matters is that you enjoy creating, because that’s what keeps you consistent.

Authenticity makes everything easier.

Q. What’s next for you-more YouTube, bigger fashion projects, or something unexpectedly chaotic we should be ready for?

I don’t have everything mapped out yet, but I do have a clear sense of direction. I’m excited to explore more on YouTube and take on bigger fashion projects. At the same time, I’m in a phase of growth and self-discovery, so I’m open to new opportunities as they come. It’s an evolving journey-but definitely one to watch.
