Vibhuti Sharma: I’ve Built A Community That Values Mindful Fashion (Fashion Creator, 109K Followers)

Vibhuti Sharma Interview

VIBHUTI SHARMA

Style isn’t about having more-it’s about making the most of what you already have

Q. You’ve beautifully blended architecture and fashion into your identity - how did your journey into content creation begin, and what inspired you to start sharing your style online?

I began content creation quite casually, sharing café visits, outfits, and snippets of my lifestyle without a clear direction. However, everything changed when I moved from Delhi to Milan with just two suitcases-one filled with essentials and the other with a limited wardrobe.

That experience made me realise how many women want to present their best selves without having an extensive wardrobe. It gave my content a clear purpose: to show that style doesn’t come from excess, but from creativity.

Since then, I’ve built a community that values mindful fashion-where reusing, restyling, and making the most of what you have is celebrated.

Q. If you're not shooting content or working on fashion - related projects, what does a typical day in your life look like?

My days are a balance of productivity and simple joys. I usually start my morning with saunf water, followed by breakfast, a video call with my family, and a workout. The rest of the day includes daily chores like grocery runs, cooking, and organising my space.

I also enjoy unwinding with movies. On other days, I step out to meet friends-whether it’s coffee, Aperol, or a relaxed picnic at the park. It’s a typical international student routine, but one I truly enjoy.

Q. Quick fun one - what’s your go-to outfit when you have “nothing to wear,” and what song are you vibing to while getting ready?

A pair of well-fitted blue flared jeans with a basic white or black tank is my go-to. I elevate the look with a red bag and matching shoes - it’s simple, chic, and effortless.

As for music, it’s always Punjabi. I love listening to Diljit Dosanjh - his songs instantly set the mood and energy for me.

Q. Was there any emotional or defining turning point in your life that shaped who you are today - personally or professionally?

Life itself has been my biggest teacher. One of the most difficult phases I went through was losing my pet, who I considered family. That loss deeply affected me and left me feeling lost for a while. However, it also taught me resilience. I realised that life continues, and you have to find the strength to move forward. That phase pushed me to step out of my comfort zone, move abroad, and grow into a more independent and self-aware version of myself.

Q. For aspiring creators who look up to you, what advice would you give to someone just starting out in content creation, especially in the fashion space?

If you truly enjoy it, just start. You don’t need to follow trends or try to be different-being authentic is enough. The right audience will connect with you for who you are, not just what you create. In the fashion space, focus on adding value rather than just aesthetics. Inspire people through ideas, creativity, and perspective.

Most importantly, don’t wait to feel ready. Start early, stay consistent, and trust that growth will come with time.

Q. Being an architect and an influencer, do you see any intersection between design thinking and styling? How does your academic background influence your content?

Absolutely. Both architecture and fashion are rooted in design thinking. Architecture taught me about balance, composition, and intention - principles I naturally apply while styling outfits. In architecture, every element is placed with purpose, and I view fashion the same way. Each outfit tells a story. In many ways, I see styling as designing for the body.

Q. Looking ahead, what are your long-term goals - do you see yourself building a brand, exploring global fashion more deeply, or stepping into something entirely new?

I’m currently in a phase of exploration and growth. Living in Milan has completely reshaped my perspective on fashion, especially around sustainability and mindful consumption.

While I am gradually building my personal brand, my focus right now is on learning, evolving, and making the most of this journey. Growth, for me, is the ultimate goal at this stage.
