“People connect with honesty far more than they connect with perfection.”

Q. Do you think rant comedy works because people secretly enjoy hearing someone say what they’re too afraid to say out loud?

I believe rant comedy resonates so deeply because it gives voice to thoughts and feelings that many people experience but rarely express openly. Whether due to social expectations, hesitation, or the fear of being judged, people often suppress their honest reactions to everyday situations.

As a rant creator, I see myself as the audience’s inner voice, the part of them that wants to speak freely without filters. While the situations I discuss are often ordinary, I think it is the honesty and delivery behind those observations that people find both relatable and entertaining.

Q. You’re now exploring longer-form YouTube content. How different is storytelling compared to short-form rant videos?

Transitioning into long-form content has been an exciting creative challenge. On a lighter note, moving from vertical videos to horizontal ones almost feels like the content itself has grown up and decided to take up more space.

However, the biggest difference lies in the structure. Short-form content relies on quick engagement and immediate impact, whereas long-form videos require a more thoughtful balance of pacing, storytelling, and audience retention. You cannot sustain the same intensity of rant comedy for several minutes without exhausting both yourself and the viewer. That is why I have been exploring a blend of storytelling, vlogging, and observational humor, allowing the content to feel more immersive while still retaining the relatability that audiences enjoy.

Q. Apart from comedy, you’re passionate about singing and lyricism. Do music and comedy influence each other in your creative process?

To be honest, I see music and comedy as two very different creative outlets. My journey into music began during a particularly difficult phase of my life following my first heartbreak. At the time, I was struggling emotionally and turned to rap writing as a way of processing my thoughts and experiences. Ironically, I was not in a place where I could even make myself laugh, let alone entertain others.

Looking back, that period became a turning point in my life. It introduced me to a creative side of myself that I had never explored before. I went on to create an eight-track album and released two songs from it. Over time, I moved beyond that difficult chapter and discovered a healthier relationship with music. Today, my lyrics are inspired by real-life experiences and genuine emotions rather than simply being written for the sake of creating content.

Q. What’s the most challenging part of making people laugh consistently?

One of the biggest challenges is evolving alongside your audience. Content creation is never static, and what works today may not resonate tomorrow. As audience preferences change, creators must constantly reinvent themselves, explore fresh ideas, and find new ways to remain relevant.

This ongoing demand for creativity can be mentally exhausting. There is always pressure to innovate while avoiding creative burnout and creator’s block. What many people do not see is the amount of effort, experimentation, and persistence that goes into maintaining consistency. Behind every successful creator is someone constantly pushing themselves to think differently and create something new.

Q. Do you think content creators today are under pressure to constantly “perform” even when they’re mentally exhausted?

Without a doubt. It is a reality that only creators truly understand. When ideas stop flowing, it can lead to creative blocks that bring immense mental pressure. If left unchecked, that pressure can evolve into burnout, exhaustion, and even serious emotional struggles.

When I began creating content in 2021, it was simply something I enjoyed doing. As the platform grew, however, so did the responsibilities that came with it. Creators are constantly navigating changing algorithms, shifting trends, and audience expectations, all while trying to remain consistent. The challenge is not only to keep creating but also to maintain your individuality in a crowded digital space. Ultimately, the goal is to build a distinct voice that people remember and connect with, regardless of trends.

Q. What advice would you give to aspiring creators who are scared that their content is “too normal” to stand out online?

I believe the idea of something being “too normal” is highly subjective. What feels ordinary to you may feel incredibly relatable, valuable, or entertaining to someone else. One of the biggest obstacles aspiring creators face is becoming overly critical of their own work before giving it a chance to reach an audience.

My advice is simple: focus on creating consistently rather than trying to force uniqueness. Authenticity develops naturally through repetition, experimentation, and experience. The more content you create, the more you learn about your strengths, your audience, and your personal style. Over time, you will discover your own voice, and that is what ultimately sets you apart.
