Q. To begin, could you introduce yourself and tell us about your journey as a content creator and research scholar?

My name is Anamika, and I am a PhD research scholar in Hindi. I qualified the UGC NET-JRF on my very first attempt, which motivated me to pursue research while helping students preparing for the same examination. My journey as a content creator began with a simple intention: to make exam preparation easier and more approachable. Today, I create educational content on UGC NET, research, higher education, and student life while continuing my academic journey. For me, research and content creation complement each other because both are centered around learning and sharing knowledge.

Q. You have an impressive academic background with NET-JRF and research in Hindi literature. What inspired you to pursue this path?

Hindi literature has always fascinated me because it reflects society, culture, emotions, and human values. During my postgraduate studies, I developed a deeper interest in literary research and decided to prepare for the UGC NET-JRF. Qualifying the examination strengthened my confidence and encouraged me to continue with research. My goal has always been to contribute to academics while making quality educational guidance accessible to students.

Q. How do you balance the creative world of social media with the discipline of academic research?

Balancing both requires planning and consistency. I dedicate separate time to research work, reading, and writing, while allocating specific hours for creating content. Since my content is largely education-focused, my academic work naturally provides ideas for meaningful videos. Rather than seeing them as two different worlds, I consider them two ways of serving the same purpose: learning and educating.

Q. In your opinion, how can social media help make Hindi literature more accessible to today's generation?

Social media has the power to introduce literature in a simple and engaging manner. Short videos, storytelling, and discussions about authors or literary concepts can spark curiosity among young audiences. Once their interest is developed, many of them naturally explore books and original texts. Digital platforms can therefore become an effective bridge between classical literature and modern learners.

Q. Has your understanding of Hindi Sahitya influenced the kind of reels and content you create? If yes, how?

Absolutely. Studying Hindi literature has taught me the importance of clarity, storytelling, and meaningful communication. I try to present educational concepts in a simple yet engaging way so that students not only understand the topic but also appreciate the ideas behind it. My academic background helps me ensure that the information I share is accurate and well-researched.

Q. What are some common misconceptions people have about research scholars or literature students?

One common misconception is that research scholars spend all their time reading books in isolation. In reality, research demands critical thinking, analysis, writing, presentations, collaboration, and continuous learning. Similarly, literature is often seen as limited to poetry and stories, whereas it also develops analytical skills, communication, cultural understanding, and a deeper perspective on society.

Q. As a reel creator, how do you ensure your content remains authentic while keeping up with social media trends?

I never follow trends simply because they are popular. If a trend aligns with education and adds value, I adapt it in my own way. My priority is always authenticity, accuracy, and usefulness. I believe consistency and trust matter more than chasing viral content.

Q. Which Hindi writer, poet, or literary work has had the greatest impact on your life, and why?

One Hindi poet who has had a profound impact on me is Dhoomil (Sudama Pandey 'Dhoomil'). His poetry presents the realities of contemporary society with remarkable honesty and courage. He explored the emotions, struggles, and aspirations of the common man, giving voice to those who are often unheard. What inspires me most about Dhoomil is his fearless critique of social inequalities, hypocrisy, and the distortions within the system. His poems challenge readers to question accepted norms and think critically about society. His bold and realistic style has shaped my understanding of literature not just as a form of artistic expression, but as a powerful medium for social awareness and change.

Q. What challenges have you faced while building your identity both as a researcher and a digital creator?

My journey has not always been easy. While preparing for the UGC NET-JRF, I experienced several ups and downs in my personal life. There were moments when balancing responsibilities with studies felt overwhelming, but I never gave up on my goal.

Coming from a modest background, I also witnessed situations where people treated boys and girls differently or had lower expectations for girls pursuing higher education. Those experiences could have discouraged me, but instead, they motivated me to prove that dedication and hard work matter more than stereotypes.

Clearing the UGC NET-JRF on my very first attempt gave me confidence that challenges should never define our future. As both a researcher and a digital creator, I have learned that consistency, self-belief, and patience are the keys to building your own identity. Today, if my journey inspires even one student - especially a young girl - to believe in herself, I consider that my biggest achievement.

Q. What has been the most rewarding response you've received from your audience?

The most rewarding moments are when students tell me they qualified the UGC NET examination after following my guidance or that my videos helped them stay motivated during difficult phases of preparation. Knowing that my content has positively impacted someone's academic journey is the greatest achievement for me.

Q. If you could collaborate with any author, educator, or content creator, who would it be and what would you create together?

I would love to collaborate with Saurabh Dwivedi because of his ability to make literature engaging and relatable for young audiences. Together, I would like to create a series that introduces Hindi literature, poets, and literary movements in a way that is both academically meaningful and enjoyable for students.
