1. Tell us more about yourself and your life.

My name is Resham Bamb, founder of NGO Shy Foundations.

2. What led you into social activism?

I have been a victim of child molestation and wish that it doesn't affect more kids. I wish to reach out to all kids out there and help them to create wonderful memories for childhood.

3. What is that one cause you care deeply about and why?

I care about the innocence which has to be preserved in kids.

4. If one wants to contribute and make a difference in social causes, how can one do it?

Anyone and everyone can contribute towards any possible way. A positive statement and a smile also is good enough for this society.

5. Who is your role model and why?

My mom is a role model who has taught me the art of sharing whatever little I have.

6. What are some of challenges and roadblocks you have faced along your journey?

The topic I deal with is a taboo topic in our Indian society. People hesitate to talk about it, even confront it. Many parents don't even want to admit that these child abuse, sanitation, molestation, incest are real problems and something should be done to avoid them.

7. What is your opinion about social media activism?

Social media is a hyped bubble no one takes it seriously unless something severe doesn't happen and then people forget the same after the third day of the incident.

8. Which is your favorite book and why?

Mrityunjay by Shivaji Sawant is my favorite book I believe in Indian mythology and believe in the values of Karna.
