Self-Healing Through Awareness - Cristina Lopez (Neuro - Performance Coach)

The journey to date as an entrepreneur has been both deeply challenging & rewarding. As a coach, I have created a personalized “mind retreat” programs to assist my clients in achieving optimal performance and build awareness when it comes to self-healing.

Tell us about your background and journey so far?

I started working full-time as a coach 2 years ago after working in London as a VC. My career has shifted with the root of every move I have made to date, being focused on understanding human motives & what drives our desire to create.

I now work for myself where as a coach I design personalized programs & also work with leading educational institutes. The journey to date as an entrepreneur has been both deeply challenging & rewarding.

What is neuro - performance coaching?

Neuro-performance coaching is a brain-based coaching method that combines different behavioral & psychological models from pioneers in science. NP coaching involves effective neuroscience-based techniques & toolkits to help improve management practices & overall well-being.

As a coach, I have created personalized “mind retreat” programs to assist my clients in achieving optimal performance and build awareness when it comes to self-healing. In these times, this knowledge is more valuable than ever.

Who is your client profile?

Due to my background in VC, I mostly work with first-time founders. However, I attract all types of clients who are keen on expanding their performance potential.

What would be your top 3 tips to someone who wants to make their day more productive?

To dedicate the first hour of every day to your wellbeing & design a morning practice to tune into a higher vibration.

To turn off all notifications on your phone. All our apps are designed to be addictive. Claim back your power by being intentional with where you focus your attention.

Move-in new ways every day. This can be through sport, stretching, dance, or any activity that brings you joy. But I feel movement must be prioritized as it helps us unblock negative tension & change our state.

What would be your advice to someone who wants to be a coach?

It is a beautiful field to work in. Being a coach is very meaningful & challenging in all the right ways. I would advise all aspiring coaches to understand that if you do this work, you need to maintain a level of authenticity that is going to require you to always be aware of your shadows. Coaches are human too and we are not trained to impose on others growth or journey, but to provide resources & tools that help guide others in achieving their goals.
We are not the ones doing the work, they are and our role is to be a supportive guide.

How can one find their coaching niche?

This is very personal and depends on what drives & excites you personally. I would advise all coaches to be curious and understand that this work is ever-evolving and never fixed. The starting point of which niche to focus on is usually very clear and will call you but I wouldn’t advise anybody to try and fit into a niche.

I also believe the best coaches create their own niche and combine methods that they themselves have found to be most effective in achieving success for their clients.

Which is your favorite book & why?
My favorite book would have to be The New Earth By Eckart Tolle as it explains how our ego restricts us so accurately and a powerful guide in owning our authentic beingness. This is something I believe we will all have to embrace in the new normal as we are living a very unique time & paradigm shift in our society, work & consciousness.
