Himanshu Ashok Malhotra

1. Tell us more about your journey as a Television Actor and an Entrepreneur?

The journey has been fruitful and full of ups and downs as every journey is meant and supposed to be. But I enjoy this journey of being an actor and an entrepreneur together. It's wonderful to keep creating something new and keep applying myself in the new direction of life whether being an actor or being an entrepreneur.

2. How did you come up with the idea of Share & Grow and go about executing it?

It was actually given to me by my wife in one of the most treasured and magical moments of life where she told me that I have the potential and the innate capability to touch people's lives so I must go out and explore myself and meet as many people and do various interactive sessions with them to move forward in life.

And then from that point onwards, we termed it as "Share & Grow Initiative" and started moving forward each day, starting from various schools, colleges institutes and then kept proceeding further.

3. What is the biggest challenge that you have faced and how did you overcome that?

I feel I’m yet to face the biggest challenge of my life.
When the time comes I will surely tell you.

4. What do you think are the most important qualities of a successful entrepreneur?

To be a successful entrepreneur all you need to have is the courage to step in the direction that you choose and to move forward with a huge amount of patience is. A lot of times things may not work at the moment you want them to work but they will work at their own sweet time. Patience and courage is what I adhere to.

5. For a complete outsider with no inroads (to be an actor), what advice would you like to give?

I would just tell everyone to hone your craft and hone your talent and hone your skills before coming to the city of dreams called Mumbai. A lot of people come here and unfortunately are under prepared about the craft so learn your craft and then come to the city and then make a mark.

6. What is your mantra of success?

Be centered and balanced in life. Whatever situation comes in life accept it and make the best out of it.

7. Which is your favorite book & why?

My favorite book till today is the first one that I read ever in my life. It’s a book called 'You Can Win' by Shiv Khera. It's the simplest book I ever read with beautiful anecdotes and experiences of life and it did transform my thought process and my perspective towards life.
