Located near Hawa Mahal, Johari Bazar is one of the oldest and famous traditional places to shop in the pink city Jaipur. It is popular for the crafting of each piece of jewellery carefully to represent the speciality of Rajasthan, ‘Thewa', ‘Polki', ‘Meenakari' and ‘Kundan'.

The highly unique aspect of this Bazar is jewellery made up of gold, diamonds, rubies, emeralds and silver. 

This bazaar which opens at 10 am and closes by 11 pm every day is also a perfect place to shop textile-like ‘Bandhej and leheria sarees', elegant ‘Mojari's or jutis', ’printed bedsheets and Jaipuri Rajais'. 

2. Floating Vegetable Market, Srinaga

One of the different kind of market in India which catches the attraction of major tourist. The dawn vegetable market on the Dal Lake is the most beautiful, unique site and photogenic place in Srinagar. You have to reach early in the morning to witness the bustling of this beautiful floating market. 

The prime source of cultivation and fresh vegetables in the natural wetlands of Srinagar are the sold on the floating shikara boats on the lake. Now, the market also has a surplus of shikaras selling saffron, wood carvings and various articles of visitor concerns (Dhaor).

3. Lakkar Bazar, Shimla 

If you are visiting Shimla but you don’t visit Lakkar Bazar which is located on the tiny roads adjoining The Ridge in Shimla, then you are missing the best place. This is the place where shopaholics and foodies can spend the whole day. 

A street shopping place famous for its wooden items, antiques, best wooden sticks, wollen clothes and many more things which are the speciality of Shimla.

Also, you can have the best Aloo Tikki and Chloe bhature in Sita Ram. The prime attraction is The Pashmina shawls and handicrafts, with popular Kullu Shawls.

4. Dilli Haat, New Delhi

Situated opposite to INA, South Delhi, Delhi Haat is not only a market but it has been a place which seems to be a closer of the ancestral culture of rural life and folk art in the urban clientele. 

In the heart of the city, a rare market that is a treasure house of Indian rich culture, heritage, handicrafts and ethnic cuisine. 

The variety of food stalls that encourage an eco-friendly approach and delicious local foods from various region of India; special momos from Sikkim, Bamboos hot chicken from Nagaland, kebabs from Jammu, Pooranpoli from Maharashtra, Dholka from Gujrat etc. 

5. New Market, Kolkata 

A place to shop ethnic garments and accessories, flowers, Antique groceries, utensils, and different food items like raw meat, fish, veggies, species and fruits. Located on Lindsay Street, Kolkata (just off Chowringhee Road), the market opens for 6 days in a week and is closed on Sundays.

Over 2,200 shops reflect Calcutta's traditional sarees and delightful food courts. If you are looking for brands and original items then beware because here the trends of duplicacy and first-class copy will confuse you. 

6. Ima Market, Imphal 

Also known as Ima Keithel, Ima means mother and keithal means market as its name suggest it’s the mother of all the markets. A market which empowers more than 4000 Manipuri married women since the last 500 years. 

Located in the capital of Manipur, Imphal. Every day these beautiful women dressed in traditional phanek (sarong) and Innaphi (shawl) and sell a variety of items at Ima market. 

The speciality of this ‘Queen Market' is household items, traditional handicrafts, weaved textiles, authentic food items, toys, bamboo products, produces and groceries, etc.

7. Laad Bazar, Hyderabad 

‘Choodi Bazar' is another name of Laad Bazar which is situated on the branch of four roads that joins the historic Charminar. 

The market presents a wide range of colourful and different bangles to the customers, zari and embroidery work, antique jeweller shops, and sarees with semi-precious stonework are in high demand. 

And the Hyderabadi pearls are equally beautiful and popular too and the wide range of attractive items are sold here. Some of the traditional Hyderabadi stuff that is the centre of attraction like Khara dupattas, sherwanis, velvet, brocade and many more things.
