Destiny Will Take You There, Keep Working - Nidhi Seth (Actor)

Nidhi Seth

I have always been an ad girl, auditioned more than 4k ads during my struggling time. I believe you just do your bit and leave the rest to god; if it has to happen, you have already thrown in the universe it will come back to you so that what I feel just be positive all the time

Tell us something about your background and journey.

I am a Punjabi, born and brought in Ahmedabad so I am at advantage of learning Gujarati in academics. My journey as an actor has really been beautiful and experience, I was more inclined towards sports, cultural or youth festivals little bit in studies also, kind of being an all-rounder. So in school, I use to play a lot of skits so I was pretty sure somewhere down the line I would try a hand in acting and my parents supported.

How was your experience with your first tv show, 'Mohalla Mohabbat Wala'?

So when I came to Mumbai, I got this lovely opportunity to audition for this show called Mohalla Mohabbat wala; so it was quite enriching experience wise also, I was very naive and not much knowledge about acting skills, so I auditioned for the show and somehow cracked it. It was Tigmanshu Dhulia who supported me throughout.

I learned a lot through acting so the experience was really beautiful with Mohalla Mohabbat wala and it taught me a lot as an actor also.

If not this, what would you have done?

So I always wanted to have a dancing school of my own, if it had not been acting then I would have definitely strived to work on a module of a school where I can teach dance and other extra activities.

As a dance instructor, what was your experience?

It was for a very brief period of time, somehow I started this in school or college, I use to go to the aerobic classes with my mom so I use to really enjoy that thing and even there the instructors use to ask me that I should take on the classes because I was pretty good at it and I started there and it got me a lot of confidence that I can carry a class on my shoulder, it was fun as a dance instructor but I did not want to continue as I wanted to focus on my acting.

How's it going with your current tv show 'Mere dad ki Dulhan', and what do you like the most about this show?

Well, it was an amazing experience with Mere dad ki Dulhan and what I like about this show is, it is not an ordinary saas-bahu serial that we watch because obviously times have been very competitive and people have the access of all kind of networking Netflix, Hotstar, web shows the internet is everywhere so the storytelling format of this show & Mere dad ki Dulhan is different that is what I liked about the show that is also why I auditioned for the show, Also all the co-stars are so welcoming and sweet that I never felt like a newcomer on the show.

On the first day of my shoot only I got so friendly, everybody was so amiable that I really enjoyed being on the set.

What is your mantra of success?

Well, my mantra of success would be you do your job, like I have seen lifetime I have always been an ad girl, auditioned more than 4k ads during my struggling time.

I believe you just do your bit and leave the rest to god if it has to happen, you have already thrown in the universe it will come back to you so that's what I feel just be positive all the time.
