Akansha Singh

At the age of 17, I got a chance to intern & style very renowned actors in a movie called Rustom starring Akshay Kumar. I then worked under several Celebrity stylists where we styled big Bollywood actors such as Shahid Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai.

1. Tell us about your background and journey?

The journey started unexpectedly when I used to sit in front of the computer screen and watch makeup and style videos for hours and hours. I realized that my passion lies in the beauty and fashion industry.

2. When did you first decide that you wanted to create content and how did you start?

I learned a lot during my journey of working as a celebrity stylist. About different styles, fits, putting a look together etc.. But there was something pulling me towards the content creation field so I decided to launch my blog ‘Hiddeninvogue’ soon enough, I realized that how images & videos are trending and I took to Instagram to continue my journey.

3.Who is your favorite creator and why?

My favorite creator is Aashna Shroff, the reason being I relate to her the most. I feel a connect knowing she started with almost nothing & she’s built everything she has from scratch. And her journey with Acne & mental health is something I can personally relate to and learn from.

4.How and where do you find inspiration to churn out content?

I find a lot of inspiration looking at brand campaigns, ramp walks, magazines and content creators. Most of all, from my daily life.. I’m a curious person, I like to know how to certain things in a different and better way so I look up almost everything on the internet and try tips & tricks and see if they actually work for me.

5.Which is your favorite book and why?

My favorite book is Rich Dad Poor Dad.. it’s not fashion related but it’s taught me a lot about financial stability and how money in itself is not the most important thing but valuing money is. It’s much needed for a person like me who loves to shop! ( must read!!!)

6.What piece of advice would you like to give to future and aspiring creators?

Don’t be afraid to start out. Do your thing, be persistent and learn something new every single day. When you learn, you can teach/ show people. Knowledge is power.
