Happiness Is the Highest Level of Success - Olya Gribuska (Mummy Blogger)

My idea of success is being happy, doing what I love, and being surrounded by those I love. Happiness is the highest level of success! 

1. Tell us about your background. 

Hi, my name is Olya. When I was just eleven years old, I moved to the UK with my mum and sister. The first few years here were quite tough. As I barely knew the English language and I was the only Russian girl in my school. It was really hard making friends and at times I felt really lonely. 

When I was at college, I met my partner, and just over a year later we had our beautiful identical twin boys. Life as young parents wasn’t as easy, especially when I was pregnant. We didn’t have anything, no money and we even slept on the floor during my pregnancy. 

But thanks to the hard work, dedication, and patience we managed to get our apartment and everything that our babies and we needed. 

2. What led you to start your page on Instagram and what is it about? 

I started my page in 2013 and it was just my own private page, where I shared my selfies as most teenagers do. When my partner and I got together, we started uploading our couple photos or ‘couple goals’ photos, as most people used to call them. Which went viral. 

After I gave birth I started sharing photos of my family and our adorable babies. So that’s when my page slowly turned into a mummy/family blog page. 

My Instagram is all about my life as a mother, our family adventures, and fashion. I love doing fashion shopping hauls! 

I also share stories about my grief, as we lost one of our twins when he was a month old. I want parents of angels to know that they are not alone. 

3. How would you distinguish the term blogger from an influencer? 

I would say that both are very similar. However, bloggers write and share more about their personal lives and experiences. But bloggers can be influencers too. 

4. How and where do you find inspiration to churn out content. 

A lot of inspiration comes from my own life. As I mentioned I share things about my lifestyle and family, so I always try to think of interesting content ideas, to share what is happening in my life and what I enjoy doing. 

Going on walks, listening to music, and reading positive messages from people on Instagram also gives me a lot of inspiration. 

5. What is your idea of success or your mantra in life? 

My idea of success is being happy, doing what I love, and being surrounded by those I love. Happiness is the highest level of success! 

6. What is your favorite book and why? 

If I had to pick a book, it would be one of my child’s ones. “Dinosaurs love underpants!” lol. 

I will be really honest, I haven’t read an adult book in a very long time. But this question got me looking for new books to read!
