A person can pursue food blogging a regular career but it requires lot of hard work and patience.


1. Tell us about your background and journey.

My name is Jai and I manage a page named unofficialfoodies_. As far as my educational qualifications are concerned, I am pursuing B.Sc (Sports Science) from DIPSAR, Delhi. I started my page in 2019 and now my followers are 7600 and running. I am fond of presentable, tasty and delectable food.


2. Which is your favourite cuisine and dish?

I love Indian cuisine as it is rich in regional and traditional dishes. My favourite dish is Dal makhani and butter naan.


3. Should food blogging be just a passion or can it become a regular career?

Yes. In my opinion, a person can pursue food blogging a regular career but it requires lot of hard work and patience.


4. Which restaurants/food joints would you recommend to food lovers?

Xero degree and AMA cafe. They provide fingerlickin' food and have really cool ambience.


5. What makes you appreciate a particular dish or a restaurant and talk about it on your blog?

I am a very hygienic person so first thing I notice is the food served is cooked in good oil and hygienic and of course the cleanliness of the restaurant as it is important to attract the customers. 

Secondly, presentation and proportion of spices in their food which is most important to retain customer in the long run. If both points are up to the mark, then I surely talk about them and recommend others to go there.


6. Is there a dish you particularly associate yourself with?

I can associate myself with Rajkachori as it is khatta meetha and I am also a person of jolly nature.


7. Which is your favourite book and why?

I am already in science stream so I don't get much time to read books which are out of my syllabus but yes, whenever I am done with my studies I would surely love to read novels.
