Success is not about how much money you make. It's about making a difference in people's life. It's about making consistent growth and happiness in life.
1. What led you to start your page on Instagram and what is it about?
In 2017 I moved to Mumbai for my graduation. As some months passed, I realized that it's really hard to manage all my expenses from the pocket money I used to get from home. Asking for extra pocket money from dad sounded like a bad idea to me.
So I decided to do a part-time job. I scoured for a job for almost 1 month but I didn't get a single suitable job for me. The working time of most of the jobs were either the same as my college time or it was the night shift.
I had to chuck the idea of doing a part-time job. Now I was thinking of setting up something online that could help me to make some money from it. I had no idea how to do it. I read some stuff online and finally decided to set up an Instagram page.
Now the problem was what I should post on it. I have been watching Marvel movies since 2012 so thought to post something about it. Now my Instagram account was all set up.
Gaining followers was really tough and hard in the beginning. I gained just 3000 followers in the first two months, then suddenly the number of followers started increasing exponentially. In the next one month, I reached 10k followers. Now I was ready to make money from it.
2. How would you distinguish the term blogger from an influencer?
Blogger and influencer are two different terms. Blogger is someone with a website where he writes his own valuable content or shares his experiences about a specific topic.
A Blogger may or may not have social media accounts whereas an influencer is someone with a huge number of followers on social media who affects the purchase decisions of his/her audience.
Influencers are popular enough to be deemed as a role model so most of their followers tend to duplicate whatever they do, eat whatever they eat and wear whatever they wear. It happens because influencers have the power to influence the behaviour and purchase decisions of people.
3. Is it financially sustainable to be an influencer today?
Of course, It's a viable career option. We are in the internet era. 19 of 20 people use social media these days so It's really important for brands to do social media advertisements.
Brands tend to reach influencers for advertising because the success rate in social media advertising is higher than in any traditional advertising methods. If you're an influencer with huge numbers of followers then I am sure you are going to reap great advantage from it.
4. What is your idea of success or your mantra in life?
Success is not about how much money you make. It's about making a difference in people's life. It's about making consistent growth and happiness in life.
5. How can someone become a successful social media influencer?
Well! Be real, don’t try to hide anything, spend a lot of time creating content build a kind of personality trait that makes you a ‘good influencer’. Because an influencer is almost like being a celebrity and they owe so much to their followers and fans.
Build trust between you and your audience, sincere with your content, and promotions. Be honest about your opinions and tell people what you mean. and most importantly being authentic. Which simply means being your true self.
Social media is a mirror, you see what you project there. But if you are authentic you will see so many kinds of amazing people will love you for everything you have to offer them, they support you in your journey.
6. Which is your favourite book and why?
The Secret By Rhonda Byrne is my favourite book.
This book is simply about the “law of attraction.” Essentially, the law of attraction states that whatever consumes your thoughts is what you will eventually get in life.
So, if you think of all the things you don’t want in your life, you’ll only get the things you don’t want. By contrast, if you only envision the things you want in your life, then you will get everything you want in life.
The Book explains that the reason The Secret works is because The Universe is made up of energy (and, as Einstein taught us, matter can be converted to energy and vice versa) and all energy has a frequency.
If you believe that you are rich and wealthy and successful, The Universe will respond to these vibrations and soon provide you with wealth and success. If you believe that you are thin and beautiful, then The Universe will magically deliver healthy, skinny goodness.
