I was rejected at first but when my audition went viral, I was being called by MTV team for wild card entry

Tell us something about your background and journey.

About my background, I have done Mechanical engineering and an MBA in marketing. Along with my studies, I participated in MR Punjab which is telecasted on PTC Punjabi Channel and reached till the finale. I got an excellent response from that show as I broke 2 records on that show. Then in 2018 I gave auditions for MTV Roadies and got selected. I was rejected at first but when my audition went viral, I was being called by MTV team for wild card entry.

Now I am working with zee Punjabi in one of their daily soap “kamli ishq di” as a negative lead. Moreover, I am also working on my upcoming web series

Who inspired you to become a model?

Actually, no one inspired me for becoming model. When I was doing my BTECH from guru Nanak dev engineering college Ludhiana. There was my friend who had a DSLR camera. he clicked some of my pictures and I uploaded them on Facebook. I started getting comments that I should pursue modelling. Then I sent my profile to one of the video directors who selected me for the music video. That's how this all started.

How did you feel after reaching the finale of 'Mr. Punjab'?

Actually, I did not win the title of MR Punjab. I was in the finale but I can proudly say that I won the heart of many people as I already told you that I broke 2 records on the show. Even today if we search Grand finale episode on youtube, you will find that most of the comments under the video are in my favour

Tell us about your experience with 'Roadies Xtreme'?

My experience with Roadies Xtreme was amazing. I entered as a wild card entry. Won most of the tasks and played for me and my friends for which people admired me a lot. This was also a lifetime experience for me because Roadies is a national reality show which is being watched by most of the youth in India. I still sometimes feel nostalgic about my journey on the show whenever I look at my old pictures. Roadies is a platform where lakhs of contestants give auditions and only a few get selected and I came in that few contestants. Furthermore, most of my fan following on social media is still due to MTV Roadies.

Tell us something about your role in 'Kamli Ishq di'?

I am playing a negative lead character in kamli Ishq di”. My character “Lucky” is more of a comic character rather than being negative. He always tries to speak English but most of the times it is wrong. One of his Chela “Sundi” is always with him who corrects his English. Lucky likes a girl in his village with who he wants to get married but the girl on the other hand does not like him at all. This is a family drama and people are loving our show in Punjab What is your fitness mantra?

What is your fitness mantra?

Fitness to me is being physically, mentally and emotionally fit. So for my physical health, I go to the gym regularly. For my mental health, I have started doing meditation recently and for my emotional health, I try to be with the people who are energetic and optimistic. Who always motivates me to work hard and succeed in life.
