10 Best Cricket Bowlers of All Time

Cricket is one of the few games that has a wide fan base similar to that of football. Every team has its key players who are crucial in a game. Every cricket match is dependent on both the bowlers and batsmen.

However, a cricket bowler is much dangerous than batsmen in a game because a single wicket can change the entire course of the game. Here I give you a list of bowlers that every batsman is afraid of facing in the field.

  • Muttiah Muralitharan (Sri lanka) - One of those off-spinners you don’t want to go against. His unorthodox bowling action makes it difficult for batsmen to judge and counter his deliveries easily. He is much more famous in the I test format of cricket than other formats. The only batsmen to take on Muralitharan and survived the battle is MS Dhoni.
  • Shane Warne (Australia) - There is still no one to replace him. He holds the record for the maximum degree of turn to date. His bowling is an entire mystery to all the batsmen who face him. Defending his deliveries was the major priority of those who faced him, let alone no one dares to hard-hit his deliveries.
  • Anil Kumble (India) - The only man to take all 10 wickets in a single inning. Also, the only Indian to make the top of this list. He was a valuable member of team India and a key bowler in all formats of the game.
  • Waqar Younis (Pakistan) - The youngest to captain team Pakistan. A fast bowler who has bowled great deliveries and provided a breakthrough during crucial moments. He is also known as burewala express due to his extensive speed.
  • Chaminda Vaas (Sri Lanka) - He is known as the fastest bowler ever to be produced by Sri Lanka. He is one of the very few players to have only minor injuries during his entire career. He is the youngest bowler to reach 300 wickets in ODI format.
  • Shaun Pollock (South Africa) - He was the former captain of South Africa in all formats of the game. He is considered the best medium pace bowlers and a great all rounder. Also, he has a low economy in bowling.
  • Wasim Akram (Pakistan) - A former captain of Pakistan. A fast-paced left-hander who bowls consistent speeds. His records are only second to Muttiah Muralitharan. He was the key player when Pakistan lifted the world cup in 1992.
  • Glen McGrath (Australia)He is generally known for his consistency with the ball along with the line and length of his deliveries. He had a long career compared to other bowlers due to his physical fitness and consistency.
  • Allan Donald (South Africa) - His nickname is white lightning because he bowls at an extensive pace. He is considered as one of the best bowlers ever played for the South African team.
  • Kagiso Rabada (South Africa) - The only youngster to come on the list. Many young bowlers are good but not as good as him. He has been consistent in performing along with all formats of the game and provides a promise to the team with the ball in hand.
