Paridhi Jain - If You Cannot Imagine Success, You Cannot Get Success (Social Media Influencer)

I always believe in dreaming big no matter what the circumstances are, because I truly feel that if you cannot imagine success, you cannot get success. You need to be a dreamer and a hustler to catch your dreams. Success comes from within.

1. Tell us about your background and journey.

Having been born and brought up in Patna, I completed my schooling from St. Joseph's Convent High School and St. Michael's High School, Patna. After completing my schooling I shifted to Kolkata for B.com Hons and graduated from J.D.Birla Institute, Kolkata.

Post graduation I got an offer to work with Admitad in the field of affiliate marketing in Gurgaon. I have had the best experience of my life with this organization. These good two years experience with Admitad got me to work with many different projects and I attended a lot of campaigns and seminars/events.

I also got the employee of the Quarter award in this organization and an opportunity as a Speaker in one of the seminars related to one of the international projects.

2. What led you to start your page on Instagram and what is it about?

Ever since I was a kid in school, I was always fascinated by the fashion industry & fashion trends and wanted to do something in this field. Unheard at that time, I eventually got indulged into academics and somehow believed in the idea of setting in for the perfect life we all have created in our society.

As I grew up and was busy completing my graduation, I got acquainted with the world on Instagram & how powerful this platform is for the artists. I also started my page on Instagram, I started off with photography, tried different niches like food blogging, street photography, nature photography till I realized that I want to be a content creator in the fashion category.

You have to explore well before you decide where your true passion lies in. So I started picking up this as my side hustle along with my job, but when you try to do multiple things, you're never gonna give your 100% in all the things you do.

As rightly said by Dr. A. P. J Abdul Kalam Ji, To succeed in your mission, you must have single-minded devotion to your goal. It was then I decided to do this as my full time job and I am now creating content on YouTube and Instagram as well.

3. How would you distinguish the term blogger from an influencer?

For me an influencer is someone who has a stronger audience on all the platforms and can leave one's impact onto a larger population whereas, I believe a blogger could be anyone.

In simple language, if you hold knowledge about any specific area, you can start blogging about it i.e. you can start educating people about the particular niche like tech, food, travel, fashion. It can start from having a blogging site or a page.

4. Is it financially sustainable to be an influencer today?

Well, with a lot of new creators coming up, the opportunities are also growing around the world. As this is the age of digital marketing, a lot of brands are shifting their focus to influencer marketing for promotional campaigns .

Hence I believe, if you have that passion, strength and patience to follow your path to become an influencer, it indeed would be a safe career option.

5. What do you think influences consumer behavior?

As an influencer, I feel it's important to have a personal connection with the brands we promote. This definitely helps in order to influence consumers in a better way. The kind of audience that follows influencers are on the basis of some connection that we try to build with our audience.

What I mean to say is that personal touch is very important according to me. I think it's important to first build an understanding with your audience base and then focus on consumer needs and the rest of the process will surely follow it's way

6. What is your idea of success or your mantra in life?

If you want to go a long way in life, then dream big. I always believe in dreaming big no matter what the circumstances are, because I truly feel that if you cannot imagine success, you cannot get success. You need to be a dreamer and a hustler to catch your dreams. Success comes from within.

7. How can someone become a successful social media influencer?

In my opinion, if anyone is passionate about a particular niche and has the power to build a community around oneself, then one can become a successful influencer. An influencer is somebody who is able to reach a larger audience base and leaves a major impact on them.

8. Which is your favorite book and why?

My favorite book is Becoming by Michelle Obama. I'd highly recommend everyone to read this book. This book has powerful messages that teach you things beyond life. It will teach you determination, patience, to never give up and be hopeful no matter what the situation is. Be confident and keep moving by breaking the rules.
