"A blogger, an entrepreneur, homemaker and a mom of two - AN ALL-ROUNDER"

1. Tell us about your background and journey

I was born and raised in Karachi, Pakistan, and currently living in Riyadh, KSA for the last 7 years with my husband and kids. Educationally, I have a degree in Pharmacy and have wholeheartedly ended up as a blogger/influencer & an entrepreneur as a passion of mine.

This transitional phase from one country to another and from one field of studies to another field of work quite honestly defines my journey as a whole. It’s my own “TALE OF THE TWO CITIES”.

2. When did you first decide that you wanted to create content and how did you start?

2 years back I felt the urge to create content relevant to activities, events, and everyday life in KSA. There’s so much to offer as to where ever a person lives, and I wanted to capture the moment. I started off on Facebook with my own page called Exhausted Desi Expat

3. How would you distinguish the term blogger from an influencer?

I’ll make it quite textbook material regarding the distinguishing factor between blogger and influencer but I consider myself an in-between/hybrid regarding the two definitions.

A blogger is someone with a website with their own original, valuable content whereas an influencer is someone with an online platform who has a following and impacting an audience's buying decisions.

4. Who is your favorite creator and why?

Junaid Akram is one name that I can think of as my favorite creator. I find Junaid Akram is a versatile individual who can practically change his topics from comedic to socio-economic issues and still be interesting.

5. How and where do you find inspiration to churn out content?

I think it’s essential to find inspiration from your surroundings. Observing what’s amidst and amongst you is imperative as a primary source of inspiration. Web-surfing and social media are also a vital source of my inspiration.

I’d even add current affairs and news which affect us directly or indirectly as a facet of my content writing.

6. Which is your favorite book and why?

My favorite book is P.S. I Love You. It teaches you that no matter what calamities come across you personally, you should live your life to the fullest.

7. What piece of advice would you like to give to future and aspiring creators?

Create whatever content you want but find the good in your material rather than emphasizing the negative/toxic/degrading aspects that you’ve come across.

In easier terms, if you have nothing good to write about, don’t bother starting it. I think there is too much gloom already in this world being catered to you and me. So let's negate it!
