1. Why is cybersecurity is so important in this digital economy?

Cyber Security is a Very important KEY for E-commerce, E-Business, all online Personal & Commercial Transaction should be End to End secured, Digital India has nine pillars such as universal access to the internet, IT jobs,e-revolution, e-governance, etc. 

Using JAM (Jan Dhan, Aadhaar, and mobile banking) will reduce corruption. Major projects supported by this initiative are Digi Locker, MyGov, Swachh Bharat App, BHIM App, UPI Payments, Bharat Net, etc.

According to the government, Bharat Net aims to connect 2.5 lakh villages and create awareness among the people.

The government is focusing More on Electronic-Governance and cybersecurity. We need better infrastructure and internet service with strong cybersecurity rules to punish those involved in cybercrime.


2. Do you feel cyber crimes are going to increase in this recession time and how we can handle it?

Cyber Crime has increased during every recession, Mainly Cyber Criminal Target Government Agencies and MNC Multi-National Companies. 

In the recession period, In Covid-19 cyber crime cases has almost doubled, with the increased usage of the internet, cyber stalking-harassment, High Numbers of financial frauds have been reported.


3. Does the digital encouragement from the government side makes a large chunk of the population vulnerable?

As we are growing in Digitalization, Government should take initiative to aware people of Cyber Frauds, After WhatsApp new data policy, National Informatics Centre has launched an instant messaging platform Sandes www.gims.gov.in, the government has launched many such apps like DigiLocker App.

E-pathshala App which is useful for E-citizens also secured as compared to other third-party apps.


4. What are your initiatives in this field to educate people about hackers?

In 2015 I have developed EDU Portal for Police Department & Investigation Agency, Courses we offered was ethical hacking & Cyber Crime Investigation. Currently, we are working on it to develop free courses for Students who are interested in Cyber Security-forensic & Ethical Hacking.

Earlier course was only for Government Employees. 



5. What are the technical skills they need to develop and how they endorse this field to be successful?

Quick Learner and passionate, Vulnerability assessment, Penetration testing, Linux, Network Security, Cyber Forensics, ability to self-study by doing research.


6. Are there any software you would recommend to people how paranoid should people be when they are using it for a very basic purpose like interacting with friends and colleagues?

Download Video Conferencing app from genuine source or the official website of Vendor, I can suggest some - Cisco Webex Meetings, Bluejeans video conferencing, Google Hangouts Meet.


7. Any suggestions for business owners to keep their sensitive data safe in this Work from the home situation employee can access the sensitive data from their home
