Enxhi Nasufi - You Do Not Always Need Training Or Education To Succeed (Singer, Performer and TV Host from Albania)

I stood fourth in X factor Albania and participated in the voice of Albania. Later, I made many other songs including various music videos. Music is my biggest love, even though Albania is a very small country and maybe the possibilities are not so great in the music industry.

1. Tell us more about your background and journey.

Hello, my name is Enxhi Nasufi. I am a 25 year old Albanian Artist. At the moment I am the TV host of a program on top channel media in Albania. I studied law for 5 years and my first job was as an assistant in a law office.

My story and love for music started very early at the age of 3, watching my family all the time singing and dancing. I come from a family with divorced parents, but raised with many people including mom, aunt and older cousins whom I consider my sister and brother, although not biological.

2. When did you first decide you wanted to pursue music and how did you start?

Initially, I started ballet at the age of 6 and then in college I was strengthened and injected even more music by my music professor who saw my talent. His son was a producer, so I started going to sing in his studio initially children's songs. Then I started participating in children's festivals where I won first prizes.

At the age of 15, I participated in the voice of Albania, at the age of 18, I participated in X factor Albania where I came out to be the fourth. Later I made other songs including various music videos. Music is my biggest love, even though Albania is a very small country and maybe the possibilities are not so great in the music industry.

3. Who is your favorite artist and why?

My favorite artist is Beyoncé. I grew up and formed artistically with her songs. To be honest I admire her so much so when I see her performing I get Goosebumps and tears in my eyes out of emotion. Love her voice, her talent, her super power and the way she makes the women and black women of the world feel. So empowering!

4. Can you throw some light on the opportunities one get as a singer?

When you are a singer you get a lot of pleasure initially from the music and from what you do. The second gives you the opportunity to meet and work with many people you didn't know before. You grow up with music not only artistically but also as a human being.

The biggest opportunity that comes from music and being a singer is that you are so close to people, their heart and their emotions. It gives you fantastic energy and adrenaline, it fills out your soul.

5. Is format training required or can one train themselves purely on the basis of talent?

My opinion is that you do not always need training or education to succeed. Probably because I myself have not been educated, I have learned and trained myself, especially by watching videos of singers singing live, to learn and understand more of their technique. I also had the good fortune to be in the studio at a very young age and this has taught me many things.

6. What piece of advice would you like to give to future and aspiring artists?

The only advice I have for future artists is to always be themselves. Be confident to believe strongly in their talent and love themselves strongly. By this I mean never make compromises that they can not afford. Walk with your steps even if slow. It is important to manage on your own and at the end of the day, to be proud of yourself and your work.

7. Which is your favorite book and why?

My favorite book so far is “The book u wish your parents had read”. I adore this book and the message it conveys. How important is the parent-child relationship.  I'm not a mom yet but I would love for my mom to have read this book at her age and to understand so much more about herself and me. Anyway, I love her deeply.
