As mentioned, my parents were both skydivers so I was exposed to it from the beginning. What attracted me was the lifestyle of the people at the skydiving center. I hated going back to school on Mondays knowing that they were out there having fun.
Tell us more about your background and journey.
I got into skydiving at an early age (16) because both my parents were skydivers. During high school, I would skydive as much as possible on weekends and school holidays but it wasn't much. After that, I was going to take one gap year and skydive as much as possible.

Twelve years later I'm still skydiving almost every day. It has allowed me to visit many countries and even work in places like New Zealand, Spain, and now Dubai.
How did you decide to make your passion your career?
There wasn't a defining moment when I made the decision rather it just happened. Skydiving is an expensive sport but there are many ways to make money at skydiving centres. That lets you make money but still be around skydiving. I liked the idea of trying to make money elsewhere and spend it on skydiving.
What is the level of commitment and time required to make a sport a career?
I think that totally depends on the sport. I think the hardest part about having a Sport as a career is the commitment to keeping the fun and enjoyment level up there. It's very easy to get tired of the sport once you are doing it every day.

What other interests do you have outside of skydiving?
Skydiving is very time consuming but I do enjoy Kiteboarding and wakeboarding, photography and editing videos, things like that.
How can we encourage more youngsters to take up sports as a full-time profession?
I think we need to start with getting more youngsters out there doing sports and learning first-hand the joy that you get out of it. Then they will be willing to dedicate themselves to it, even if it's not financially as stable as other jobs.
What makes a good athlete?
Dedication. There are a lot of people in every sport just there to take part but the ones that really put in the time are the ones that come out on top.
