Shravan Kshirsagar - Digital Creator Can Financially Be Sustainable but for That You Need to Be the Best In Your Field (Digital Content Creator)

1. Tell us about your background journey.

I am a 20 year old middle class boy who is chasing his dreams to turn it into reality. I finished my graduation in BA in political science from VPM college Mulund. First I had different aims and interests, yes content creation was close to my heart but I never imagined that I could turn it into a career.

I wanted to become an entrepreneur or start my own business venture but things changed when Saurabh ghadge ( my childhood friend) started doing good. He used to create funny vines from 5-6 years from now and in the early days of lockdown he began to get popularity and his efforts of so many years finally paid off.

I started my journey very late, I can say that probably in the month of October or November 2020. In the start I used to work with my Close friend Saurabh Ghadge aka Saurabh Ghadge vines. I used to help him with the contents and also used to act in his Videos (YouTube sketches and reel videos).

2. What led you to start your blog and what is it about?

I create funny and relatable vines and also some of my videos are inspired by the trends which keep changing on social media. I was a very shy, introverted and reserved kind of a boy and was very afraid to take such a big step in my life because I had started a fitness page on Instagram post lockdown but that ended up failing miserably.

So starting another account was full of challenges for me but my friend Saurabh Ghadge helped me through this. He motivated me to start with my own content and insisted me to start posting and I started doing it.

I had also discussed with my Mom regarding this and even she supported me in this and has been supporting me throughout my life, my mom is my greatest inspiration. She loves to watch my videos and it feels good to put up a smile on her face through my videos.

At the start my videos got a nice boost and my audience loved it. At the start a couple of my videos got views in millions and that motivated me a lot and gave me a lot of Confidence this is the reason I am posting reels regularly.

3. Is it financially sustainable to be a digital creator these days?

I would like to say that at the start there is no source of income because you usually start from zero so you don’t have enough audience. And also there are times when you have to invest in a few things for better experience to the audience for example phone, lights, camera, location and some miscellaneous things.

So you have to put all the money from your pocket but later as you grow and get recognised from the brands and people you start getting opportunities and you start earning some money with brand promotions and all.

So yes a digital creator can financially be sustainable but for that you need to be the best in your field and also nothing comes to you without hustling and hard work.

4. How can someone become a successful content creator?

If you want to become a successful content creator you should learn to give your 100% in everything, and forget what other people would think about you. At first they will laugh at you and later they will appreciate you when you are winning so do what your heart says and never give up.

And also you have to be thoroughly prepared with the type of content you want to produce and be fully updated about it. For ex: I create funny and relatable content so I see to it that most of the people can relate to my video, check whether my jokes are on point and see to it that my humour matches with the trend.

5. How and where do you find inspiration to churn out content?

I observe things and when I say it I mean I observe each and everything going on in my day to day life or on the internet. Whatever I see I try to turn it into my content.

Sometimes I run out of ideas but I try to memorise things and when I am out with friends sometimes the conversations become so funny that we turn that into a content as well.

6. Who is your favourite creator and why?

I love to watch my fellow creators like Saurabh Ghadge, Focused Indian and Just Neel things. These are the creators who have set another level of content creation and everything about them is so funny that I love to watch their videos and also to work with them. I am highly inspired by these people.

I have seen Saurabh doing so much of hard work and taking no days off. This really inspires me to create content and learn from him and Karan (focused Indian) these are my favourites. I will always be learning from them.

7. Which is your favourite book and why?

To be very honest I am not a fan of books but I have read this one book Rich Dad, Poor dad. This book is my favourite and I get to learn so many things from it. It teaches us the principles of financial literacy which is a very important thing for over generation to learn. The best part of this book is how it really sets the stage for the mentality a person should have if they want to get rich.
