What are some common myths in society about psychology?

The most common myth is that people who go for counseling have some mental illness which is not true. Counselling is for everyone, many times we face problems which we are not able to cope counsellor helps people by giving different tools as per the person's problem to able able to handle it more appropriately in future circumstances.

Another myth that is very common that medicine works faster than therapy so why not take medicine only, medicine is only provided to those who have severe illness or choric illness, not even a person who requires medication. Counseling does take time because it's not easy to break our old patterns.

How can people practice mindfullness?

Mindfulness is a daily practice. So every morning or before going to bed take 5 mins for yourself, sit or lie in a place which you feel is comfortable and in a comfortable position, and don’t focus on your thoughts but focus on your breathing first, center yourself by not engaging in any thoughts positive or negative.

And once you feel calmness and peace in your body that you can end. But do remember it's not a one-day task, it's a part of daily routine and you will be able to see changes in your body, as well as the stress level, is decreased.

What are your tips for people who want to practice this profession?

A very important piece of advice to those who want to practice this profession is to be a part of the community by proper education because we are dealing with humans, I personally say post graduation in psychology is really important as it gives a good inside of the whole functioning of human biology and psychology.

And don’t being a counselor or therapist simply by doing online courses or attending workshops that can lead to Misguiding the client. Experience is very important, as you might feel the job is not well earning give time growth comes in every career. Keep yourself up to date with different tools and methods that can help the clients.

Is work-life balance a myth or reality according to you?

A work-life balance is not a myth according to me, a person does have 24 hours from which even spending half an hour or hour daily for self can reduce stress and any illness can be reduced, chances of burnout will be less. So the myth becomes a reality rest of the time can be divide into any way.

The thought that comes to us that we are being selfish by taking time to ourselves is not true. Once you understand that everyone needs my time. It will improve ourselves and make us more efficient in work and personal life as well.

How according to you can one manage stress?

Stress can be managed daily by meditation, exercise, sleeping for 7-8 hours, eating well, and do give time to one of your favorite hobbies. This can reduce daily stress it helps by not leading to a dis stress state.
