The region of tamilnadu got spilt into three kingdoms in three parts named the Cheras, the Cholas(new country), and the Pandiyas.

Cholas are regarded to be excellent Tamil kings and it was the last governing dynasty among the three kingdoms. Next came the Chera dynasty( country of mountain) from Kerala.

The third were Tamil Nadu's Pandiyan dynasty, which means "oldest ancestral country." Pandiya dynasty's capital is considered to be Madurai.

Researchers discovered that Tamils emerged during the primitive man era, when people hunted and ate raw creatures, according to prehistoric data.

Prior to the establishment of these three kingdoms, the Adhi Cheras, Adhi Cholas, and Adhi Pandiyas were discovered (the Adhi meaning oldest ones) with the Adhi Pandiyas being the first to exist.

The Pandiyas were said to live in the region named kumarikandam.

Kumari Kandam is a legendary continent in the Indian Ocean that is claimed to have been lost within an  ancient Tamil civilization. It is reportedly located south of present-day India. It is called as ‘tenadu'. The Pandiya dynasty is claimed to have conquered over this region. The first ruler of the Pandiyan dynasty is said to be proven as shiva.

According to the Tamil depiction of Shiva, he walks on cremation grounds, has long hair, and wears Tiger's skin all over his body.

These descriptions are revealed from the research is found to be similar to that of evidence that shows in the Harrapan, Mohenjo-Daro civilization in north of India. Archaeologists have found an evidence named as ‘pashupati'. And found that Harrapan and Mohenjo-Daro had worshiped shiva 5000 years back.

When translating the word ‘pashupatinath' in Sanskrit the name means god of animals especially cow. The word ‘pasu’ is a Tamil word implies female cow. Shiva is always known to have a cow named ‘Nandhi'. And the Pandiya clan refers to the people who own an ox or Bullock. Similarly shiva is said to have an ox with him.

Even today, when everyone wants to go to a Shiva temple, we worship ‘Nandhi' first, then Lord Shiva.

However, this is dependent on the individual's belief on the aforementioned subject. You would also find that in Greek mythology some of evidence reveals that God Zeus had similarities to lord Shiva.

Even in the Himalayan, Tibetan regions and Nepal it is discovered that Lord Shiva is revered by many.

Lord Shiva is regarded as the ruler by those who reside in the Himalayan snowy mountains and nearby locations. During later periods and eras, Lord Shiva was considered to be the same deity, but people from various areas may have used a different name for his worship.

Work of Lord Shiva

Shiva was considered to be first siddhar (in Tamil tradition, a perfected individual who has gained spiritual powers) in aastamasidhis, silambam, Tamils and even the first king to have imparted education on yoga , silambam, nokkku varamam.

These were informed to agathiyars by shiva. He had no palace or any luxurious stuff it was found that he lived in the forest region, till now researches couldn’t get a evidence from where he operated or existed.

Karthikeyan, also known as Murugan, was his son and a hunter. Shiva and Murugan made a civilized society that thrived through generations.

There are still no proofs as to where Lord Shiva went. Shiva knows shidda medicines, yoga and these were called as siddis( knowledge). These siddis were educated by shiva to agathiyar. Later on, agathiyar educated those siddis to 18 Tamil siddhars. And these Tamil siddhars educated numerous Tamils. This is how it is stated that Tamil civilization arose, which initially began with the Pandiya dynasty.
