There were many people in my path who told me that I had no talent and told me to dedicate myself to something else; however, with the passage of time, my work has silenced mouths. I invite all the people who are reading this to follow their dreams, no matter how difficult they may seem, keep going.
1. Tell us more about your background and career?
I would like to introduce myself, my name is Michelle González alias "Redmich" and I am very happy to be your special guest in this magazine. Redmich is my alter ego, it occurred to me one day when I was totally destroyed physically and mentally, the idea was born to create a version of me, stronger, tougher, and more sincere. In one of my moments of meditation in the shower, I realized that I could create a character, who was not afraid to speak on social networks about her point of view.
I decided to stick to this character created by myself to try to be the best version of me. I am a person with anxiety and depression; I needed to get hold of something that I knew would work, or at least propel me forward. Currently, I can say that I have lived several adventures. I have finished my master's in cinematography, I have become a professional actress and model and I am in search of big ambitious projects for different streaming platforms.
I don't consider myself to be a positive influence, but one that makes you reflect on life without forced stereotypes. I can share fun content for you to tag other people or talk about why I think we are co-existing.
There were many people in my path who told me that I had no talent and told me to dedicate myself to something else; however, with the passage of time, my work has silenced mouths. 2. When did you decide that you wanted to be an artist?
I decided to be an artist when I was 13 years old and I was the protagonist of my own school play, written, directed, and produced by me. A double meaning play which made half school laugh including the parents of the students who participated in it.
I realized that I did not fit in with today's society and that bothered me quite a bit. Until I realized that I didn't really have to fit in and what could I do with my way of being and that's fine.
What I would like to reflect on here is; feeling the call of your profession in your heart. It is an inexplicable thing that only the individual who is reading this will know what I mean. What I can recommend is that I clung to that feeling and that you never let go for any reason, and above all that you fight to feel that fullness every day.
3. Is it a financially stable career?
Being an actor means being unemployed until you get a project, however, I like to produce and direct works that can have a social impact on society. Many people say to look for opportunities elsewhere, however, I got tired of looking for opportunities so I better believe them.
You will never lack anything in life, including financial life if you create your own opportunities and know how to sell a product; in this case, your project or your career.
4. Who is your favorite painter/artist and why?
My favorite painter will always be Salvador Dalí thanks to his surrealism, expressionism, post-impressionism, and artistic realism; But if we talk about cinematographic art there are great geniuses like Jean Luc Godar, Darren Aronosky, Pier Paolo Pasolini, David Lynch, Akira Kurosawa, and how to forget Satyajit Ray with the "World of Apu". These geniuses sculpt time in their own way and all of them deserve to be seen at least once in a lifetime.
5. What is your inspiration for creating art?
I love surrealism and its meaning, I am also fascinated by transmuting a person's pain and turning it into art; I think it is the most beautiful thing about sculpting time, you can sculpt it to your liking with all the love and/or hate you want. After all, it's yours, it's your work, nobody's but yours.
6. What advice would you like to give future aspiring artists?
Things are not going to be positive for many of you, here it really is not how much talent you have, but how much you want to succeed in the industry. Your good vibes and humility will also be reflected in your fruits before people and the public.
7. What is your favorite book and why?
My favorite book is "The Art of War" by Sun Tzu. Despite being a book on military tactics and strategies, it is curious that all the things mentioned in this book could be applied to today's world. Metaphorically speaking it is a parable before the current times, that every person should know for his personal growth. Especially since people never change they only learn new ways of lying to themselves; That is why society has not changed at all morally since the year of the publication of this book (1772).
Thank you very much to all the people who read this publication, I wish you success and good luck in your lives, and above all; most importantly, be happy with whatever you do.
