I am an Asian Games medallist archer. I started my career in Baranagar Archery Club at the age of eight.

My mom admitted me to the club. My dad always inspired me to be the top archer. They were very supportive of me that's why I could achieve my goals in life.

Who is your favourite player and what have you learnt from him/her?

My favourite player is Marry Com. She is so dedicated in her field I learnt dedication towards my game from her.

What is the level of commitment and time required to make a sport a career?

It depends, sometimes you may achieve your goals in just one or two years sometimes it may take a long time. But we have to focus on our goal. Patience is the key to success. If we decided to set our carrier in sports then we have to struggle a lot. It's not easy at all.

How can we encourage more youngsters to take up sports as a full-time profession?

We should build sports infrastructure in schools, small grounds, parents should encourage their children to join sports.
