Synopsis – Spoiler Alert
Si Tu Mo is an accounting student who wants to enter an advertising company. Gu Wei Yi is a physics student and the topper of the university. The two of them meet while they are going for their respective work and their bicycles bump into each other. Accidentally their bags get exchanged with each other and this is how their story begins.
Si Tu Mo likes Fu Pei in the beginning, but Fu Pei refuses to take their relationship further and calls himself and her just friends. Then Gu Wei Yi accompanies Si Tu Mo to her interview where she gets hurt and then he takes her to the hospital and takes care of her.
In due course of events, Si Tu Mo shifts to her mother’s friend’s house from the dorm which coincidentally happens to be Gu Wei Yi’s mother’s house who are actually friends.
While they stay together at Gu’s house, they slowly and gradually start developing feelings for each other with Gu Wei Yi being the first one among them. Gu Wei Yi despite being an intelligent and sensible student slowly starts liking Si Tu Mo’s mistakes and stupidities. They also go for a beach trip together with their friends, where Gu Wei Yi’s feelings for her grow stronger.
Whenever Si Tu Mo would try to contact Fu Pei, Gu Wei Yi would get jealous and play tricks to stop her from doing so. Then on Si Tu Mo’s birthday when their friends showed up at Gu’s house, they get drunk and had their first kiss.
In order to impress Si Tu Mo, Gu learns many new things like playing table tennis and skateboarding.
In the final episode, they finally get married have a child and happily live together forever.

Zhu Dongning is a Chinese director by profession. He was born on 2 August 1984. He has directed various shows like If there is still time left, Wulin has Pride, Millennium Heart, The Lion’s secret, Fall in Love, Gorgeous Workers, Tang Dynasty Tour, Guys with Kids, Meeting you Loving you and many more.
Personal Opinion :
I found this series to be truly engaging and romantic. Si Tu Mo was a free-spirited and enthusiastic girl, while Gu Wei Yi is a physics student who is a serious and studious guy. Despite having a contrasting range of traits, they fell in love with each other.
One important thing conveyed in the series is that we should never stop our partners from moving ahead in their life for achieving their goals by constantly stopping them from being in love. Being in love does not mean that we need to give up on our ambitions.
Si Tu Mo turns up to be extremely supportive towards Gu Wei Yi. When Gu Wei Yi had to go for his studies to Germany she helped him in all his arrangements and did not stop him from going there and achieving milestones in life.
Reception:
The series received positive reviews and had a score of 8.1 on Douban. Hotpot.tv ranked it the #5 most romantic drama of 2019. The drama was a success and hit in China and overseas (Thailand) where it achieved a cult following. On 20 May 2019, Lin Yi and co-star Xing Fei held a grand fan meeting in Bangkok, Thailand, where a huge crowd of thousands of fans gathered.

This series is for all of them who want a watch on romantic comedy. This gives a new definition to love and is very interesting. This series also gives us some insight into the Chinese culture and their way of living. It is available in Chinese, and English but also has been dubbed in Tamil and Hindi.
