Tell us about your background and journey.

My name is Sandeep Karmakar, and I was born on 30 November 1998 in Jaipur, Rajasthan. I belong to a middle-class family, where education becomes a medium to achieve something in life. My father was a businessman and my elder brother an entrepreneur, I got rich knowledge of the business from both sides, along with my studies. 

The urge to be creative since childhood gave me a means, due to which I am showcasing myself on this platform today. I have graduated from Rajasthan University, Jaipur, my and preparation for MBA is underway. From the very first year of college, the direction and purpose were clear - that following the passion has to go along with studies, and then the idea of blogging came. 

I introduced myself to the complex world of the Internet like an independent artist, and with the help of social media, my talent got a lot of appreciation. And that's why for the last 4 years I have maintained the first position in the list of Top 10 Fashion Influencers of India.

What led you to start your page on Instagram and what is it about?

As soon as the idea of blogging came, the first question in mind was where to start blogging? And then the idea of fashion and lifestyle came. I loved collecting and researching fashion sense and outfits since childhood, and I believe that's when the idea originated. 

My elder brother, who is a digital entrepreneur, proposed social media as the platform. And then my blogging journey took place from Instagram and other social media platforms and, thus, started the work of spreading my passion to the people. I gradually gained recognition among people. In no time, the immense love of people helped me to reach the position where I am.

How would you distinguish the term blogger from an influencer?

Blogging can be said to be a way of influencing. However, now blogger works not only for influence but also for spreading information. The word blogger itself indicates a passion where you enjoy blogging with your choice. If today I am a fashion blogger, it can mean that I am known as a powerful personality to others. For me, both bloggers and influencers are close friends in their own right.

Is it financially sustainable to be a fashion blogger today?

The question is very complicated, so its answer should also be very clear! Blogging is a better option for earning. For some people, it is more than 9- 5 corporate jobs. Regardless of whether you are a blogger or influencer, if you establish your skills, knowledge, and ability over time, then this is the best job for you.

 

successIf I talk about myself, it gives me an opportunity to keep myself financially independent along with following my passion. It is true that blogging has no limit to how much you can earn, but staying patient with sustainability and moving forward with it is a better strategy.

What do you think influences consumer behaviour?

As everyone knows, be it a brand or a business, everyone has to adopt a marketing strategy. And in today's date, the meaning of marketing is also associated with influencer marketing, and its boom is going on in the world. Along with blogging, paid endorsements and product advertising are enough to make every business and brand successful. 

And for this reason, the craze of influencer and blogger marketing is going on in full swing in countries other than India. And this is possible only when a blogger knows consumer behaviour. For every blogger, his consumer attitude is different. When a brand offers bloggers to do paid collaborations, this consumer behaviour proves to be the key point for them.

What is your idea of success or your mantra in life?

Success is not a destination for me, and never will be! For me, success is like a river that has to be crossed every day. It keeps going. The mantra of success in everyone's life may be different, but determination and confidence are the same, which I follow myself.

How can someone become a successful fashion blogger?

It's not necessary to have followers on social media, a lifestyle sense, or different clothes to become a fashion blogger. Unless you take it as a passion, you will not be able to be successful, even if you have a million followers. Only those who are enthusiastic about fashion blogging can discover fashion blogging's strengths and benefits.

Being a famous fashion blogger of India, I have a great pleasure for every blogger who is thinking of starting fashion blogging. Do not do blogging just to earn money, otherwise, its importance and attachment towards it will be lost. Just keep expressing it with fun.

Which is your favourite book and why?

To be honest, I don't really like reading books! But still, I would like to say, if you are starting something new in life, then every moment of life is a lesson in itself to learn, which will only keep on teaching you. For me, there can be no bigger book than this, just rely on time and knowledge, every chapter of life will appear to be getting colorful.
