Conjuring: Everything About The Real-Life Story of The Conjuring

Conjuring: Everything About The Real-Life Story of The Conjuring

Do you believe in ghosts? If not then I will suggest you watch the movie “The Conjuring”, the 2013 blockbuster. After watching the movie you might have a different perspective.

You see it’s based on a real story so it will give you chills. Even the thought of something that horrific being real is a lot to take in. Therefore, I was so intrigued after watching the movie that I did a little research myself.

The farmhouse from the movie was first built in 1936. When the Perron family purchased the farmhouse in 1971, it was known as the old Arnold estate. Roger and Caroline Perron moved in along with their 5 daughters Andrea, April, Christine, Cindy and Nancy.

The farmhouse was located in the suburbs and there were Fourteen rooms it was situated on 200 acres of property. The place was ideal for an all American family to live and raise 5 children.

At first, everything seemed great however the man who had sold the house said to them, “Leave the lights on at night.” Roger and Caroline thought it was just a friendly warning considering the situations back then but there was a sinister tone that they could not forget.

Not long after unexplainable things started to happen, things went missing, it felt like the house creaked, slammed and whispered. The broom is also continuously used to get dislocated. Caroline would often find dirt on the kitchen floor.

The second youngest daughter Cindy said in an interview that there was a voice in her and April’s room at night saying, “There are seven dead soldiers in the wall” over and over again.

And naturally, she and the other sisters will go to the eldest sister Andrea and sob their hearts out.

According to the sisters, the house seemed alive with spirits, some of them were harmless and the sisters even befriended one boy calling him Manny. There were also women who kissed their forehead but it was not their mother.

But there were some threatening spirits as well. In an interview, Andrea the eldest daughter also said that one day her mother changed a few things in the kitchen and that apparently triggered the spirit and it started attacking her mother Caroline.

In reality and as well as in the movie we find that there were wounds all over her body. She was unable to move out of the bed which also resulted in depression.

Andrea recalls her mother being a drop-dead gorgeous looking woman but after being tormented by the spirit she was starting to look pale, aged and completely looked like someone else.

Her voice began to change and used the language of a different era. Andrea also remembers an incident where their mother all of a sudden screamed and all the children and including their neighbour aunty went upstairs to check on her where they find that she was brutally being beaten by a court hanger.

She had bruises all over her body. It was a shocking sight to have witnessed by them. The neighbour never came back to the house nor did she allow her sons to come as well.

In the movie, we see that Caroline was possessed by the spirit named Bathsheba Sharman who lived there and who herself killed her child as a sacrifice to Setan and committed suicide and she wants Caroline to do exactly the same.

So she continues to torment and haunt Caroline and her family. We also find in the movie that Lorraine Warren and Ed Warren also helped the family as they were the demonologist, Lorraine Warren was the one who said the entity was Bathsheba.

But according to Andrea, the Warrens made things much worst for everyone thus, they were asked to leave. Andrea says that the entity which haunted her mother was not Bathsheba but Mrs Arnold who actually hanged herself and died.

Andrea also says that maybe Bathsheba was not a good entity but the possibility of her attacking Caroline was little. However, they are grateful to Warren and the makers of the movie, “The Conjuring” for bringing out the pain they felt in that house for the world to know.

So you can understand how horrific, tragic and traumatizing it could be for the people who witness such paranormal activities first-hand.

These encounters with demonic spirits can take a toll on their mental, and physical state and even life-threatening possibilities.

A lot of people can argue that this is a mere tale and a made-up ghosts story but however, but the question is can you risk it by not believing in their existence?
