Everyone knows that the Fantasy Genre is on the rise and these are some of the authors who will blow your mind with their world-building, storylines and attention to detail.
1. Sarah J. Maas
She is a New York native who is a No.1 New York Times and international bestselling author. Her novels have sold twelve million plus copies in thirty-seven languages. Currently, she has three famous series to her name. The first Throne of Glass series is complete with a total of eight books plus a companion novel and a colouring book. The second one, A Court of Thorns and Roses series is still going on and at present has five books with at least three more to come and a colouring book. The third one, the Crescent City series just got its second book in February 2022 with at least one more to come.
She also wrote the third book in the DC Icons series called Catwoman: Soulstealer.
2. Nalini Singh
She is of Indian descent but was born in Fiji and raised in New Zealand. She is an NYT bestselling author and is famous for writing paranormal romance. Her major genres are Paranormal Romance, Science Fiction, Fantasy and Romance. Her works have also made an appearance on the USA Today and Publishers Weekly bestsellers lists. She has had over two dozen novels published so far.
Two of her series, Psy-Changeling and Psy-Changeling Trinity belong mostly to Sci-fi but since they have shapeshifters, they are included here. The two series constitute a total of sixty-two stories including novels, novellas, short stories and deleted scenes. The deleted scenes and short stories can be read through her newsletter or website.
Her series Guild Hunter, has Vampires, Angels and Humans and belongs in the Fantasy genre completely. It has a total of twenty-four works including novels, novellas and short stories plus deleted scenes.
She has also written the fourth book in the Royal House of Shadows series called Lord of the Abyss.

She is a New York Times bestseller who was born in Iran. She is famous for her Shadowhunter world and her major genres are Science Fiction and Fantasy. Her series The Mortal Instruments consists of six books. The Dark Artifices series consists of three books. The Infernal Devices series consists of three books. The Last Hours series consists of four books, one of which is yet to be released. The Eldest Curses series consists of three books, one of which is yet to be released. The Wicked Powers series will consist of three books, none of which have been released yet.
Companion novels The Bane Chronicles, Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy, Ghosts of Shadow Market, A History of Notable Shadowhunters and Denizens of Downworld, and Secrets of Blackthorn Hall are collections of short stories that take place across centuries and were written in collaboration with other YA authors. There is also quite a bit of bonus content and unreleased content about the world to read as well.
She also plans to release a series called Sword Catcher and so far, has confirmed two books for the series.
4. Jeaniene Frost
She was born in the US and is an NYT, USA Today and international bestselling author of four series. Her major genres are Romance, Science Fiction, Fantasy and Paranormal. She can be found on her site jeanienefrost.com and on Twitter as well.
Her Night Huntress Universe consists of twenty-four works. The Night Huntress Series consists of fifteen pieces which include short stories and novels. The sequel, the Night Prince series consists of four novels. The Night Huntress World series which includes standalone stories of supporting characters consists of two novels. The last series in the universe, the Night Rebel series, consists of three novels.
Her series, Broken Destiny consists of three novels.
