1. What ignited your passion for cooking and led you to become a chef?

My passion for cooking ignited at a young age, around 11 years old, when I attempted to cook an egg dish. After several failed attempts, I finally mastered the sunny-side-up on my fifth try. This initial success fueled my interest in cooking, and I realized that I wanted to pursue a long-term professional career as a chef.

2. How would you describe your culinary style in a nutshell?

My culinary style revolves around passion, creativity, and a dedication to providing exceptional dining experiences. I enjoy working with people and ensuring that each dish is prepared, cooked, and presented with meticulous attention to detail. As a professional chef, I am proficient in various aspects of food preparation and often focus on mastering specific cuisines.

3. If you could give one piece of advice to home cooks, what would it be?

My advice to home cooks would be to stick to the recipe and embrace authenticity. There is something special about the flavors and traditions passed down through generations, particularly those associated with family recipes. Never underestimate the power of a mother's cooking and the love infused into each dish.

4. Can you share a dish that holds special significance for you and the story behind it with us?

Numerous dishes hold special significance for me, ranging from global culinary experiences to regional favorites. One dish that stands out is roasted chicken, a universal favorite that can be prepared in various ways. Additionally, being from my own city, biryani and haleem are deeply rooted in my cultural traditions and evoke memories of significant family moments.

5. Name three must-haves every aspiring chef should have in their kitchen.

Every aspiring chef should prioritize freshness in ingredients, effective coordination of kitchen activities, and the ability to develop innovative recipes and presentation techniques. Planning menus and ensuring the quality of meals are also essential skills for any chef striving for excellence.

6. If stranded on a desert island, which one dish would you choose to eat forever, and why?

If I were stranded on a desert island, I would choose seafood, particularly dishes prepared in BBQ style such as grilled, tandoori, clay pot gravy, or pan-seared. Seafood offers a diverse range of flavors and textures, and its versatility would provide variety even in a challenging environment.
