"My van is designed to be a home on wheels, with everything I need for daily life—like a bed, kitchen setup, storage space, awning, outdoor shower, and solar panels for power."
Q. What inspired you to embrace van life and become India’s first van life? Was there a specific moment or event that led to this lifestyle?
I’ve always loved the idea of freedom and exploring the unexplored. Watching international vanlife videos made me realize this lifestyle could let me travel, live simply, and connect deeply with nature. The thought of waking up to a new view every day really inspired me.
Q. Could you tell us about your van setup? How did you design it to be both functional and comfortable for long-term living?
My van is designed to be a home on wheels, with everything I need for daily life—like a bed, kitchen setup, storage space, awning, outdoor shower and solar panels for power. I planned it to be compact yet comfortable, so I could travel anywhere without compromising on basic comforts.
Q. You’ve explored amazing places and stories during your van life. Which destination or story stands out as the most memorable and why?
Meghalaya is my favourite place in India.
The trek to Rainbow Falls in Meghalaya was unforgettable. The mix of nature, adventure, and the warmth of people I met along the way made it truly special. Exploring remote places like Uttarakhand’s Char Dham Yatra was also a life-changing experience.
Q. How was the transition from a conventional lifestyle to living full-time in a van? What challenges did you face during the initial days?
The transition was exciting but came with challenges like adjusting to smaller spaces, managing resources, and dealing with breakdowns. However, over time, I learned to adapt and truly enjoy the simplicity and freedom this lifestyle offers.
Q. With over 145k YouTube subscribers and 440k Instagram followers, how has social media played a role in your journey? How do you connect with and inspire your audience?
Social media has been a huge part of my journey. It allows me to share my experiences, inspire others, and build a community of like-minded people. I always try to keep my content real and relatable so that people feel connected to my journey.
Q. How has living in a van for 365 days changed your perspective on life, travel, and freedom? What have you learned about yourself?
Vanlife has taught me to live with less and appreciate the small joys of life. It’s shown me the beauty of remote places and how little we actually need to be happy. I’ve learned to trust myself, embrace uncertainty, and find peace in solitude.
Q. What’s next for you in your van life journey? Do you have plans to explore new destinations or projects? Also, what advice would you give to anyone considering van life in India?
Next, I want to hit international and start my International vanlife journey
and explore more offbeat places and connect with people who are passionate about alternative lifestyles.

For anyone considering vanlife, I’d say: Have an active income source, start small, plan your setup carefully, and embrace the challenges—it’s all part of the adventure.
