"I have a naïve belief that the universe is watching, that there’s magic in the world—if you carry the right energy, one way or another, it will manifest."
1. Beyond acting, how would you describe yourself?
Beyond acting, I am an ambitious and driven person. I thrive on challenges and constantly set new goals for myself—I believe in pushing boundaries rather than settling for mediocrity. There’s always room for growth, and I’m always looking for opportunities to do better and achieve greatness.
2. Coming from a family of engineers, when did you realize acting was your path, and how did you take the leap?
Taking the leap into acting was purely an act of faith. Every family has an odd one out, and that was me. I was always drawn to the stage and performance. Dance was my first love, and it eventually led me to acting. Once I stepped into this world, I knew this was where I belonged.
3. Making it in Bombay wasn’t easy. What kept you going through the toughest days?
Self-belief. I have this unwavering belief that the universe is always watching. I believe in the magic of life—that if you carry a certain energy and intent, it will manifest in the world. That belief kept me going, even on the hardest days.
4. Rejection is part of the industry. How do you handle it, and what advice would you give to those struggling with it?
Rejection doesn’t define you—it’s just a stepping stone. You need a strong mindset and belief in yourself. Focus on building your craft and becoming the best version of yourself. The key is consistency. Bad days come and go, but your growth as an actor should never stop.
5. You’ve worked with legends like Jimmy Shergill, Rajpal Yadav, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. What’s the most valuable lesson you’ve learned from them?
Hard work and sacrifice. If you want to achieve something truly big, you need to be prepared to make significant sacrifices. These legends didn’t reach where they are by chance—it took relentless dedication, and that’s the most valuable lesson I’ve learned from them.
6. As a TEDx speaker, what’s the one message you hope people take away from your journey?
Accept failure, learn from it, and keep going—no matter how long it takes. Success isn’t about never falling; it’s about getting back up every single time. Show up for yourself every day, and eventually, the world will take notice.
7. If your life were a movie, what would the title be, and who would play you?
The title would be Kar Har Maidan Fateh—because that’s exactly what my journey has been about: overcoming every battle. And as for who would play me? No one but me. I’ve lived this journey, faced these struggles, and embraced every moment. No one else could tell my story better than I can.
Bio:
From a young girl in Delhi who dreamed of the silver screen to an actor making her mark in the industry, Yahhve Sharma’s journey is a testament to resilience, passion, and unwavering determination.
Born and raised in Delhi in a middle-class Hindu Brahmin family of engineers, Yahhve was expected to follow a conventional career path. But deep inside, she harbored a different dream—one that led her to the world of acting. Taking a leap of faith, she moved to Bombay two years ago, ready to carve her own path despite the uncertainties.
Her film career took off in 2023 with Operation Mayfair, a Netflix release where she starred alongside Jimmy Shergill. This was followed by SON, featuring Rajpal Yadav, and a music video collaboration with Sonu Nigam for Pawan Bhakti De De Ram under TIPS production. Her latest project, Section 108, sees her sharing the screen with Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Arbaaz Khan, and Regina Cassandra.
The journey, however, was far from easy. Moving to Bombay meant financial struggles, skipped meals, and relentless auditions. Rejections became routine, but rather than breaking her spirit, they fueled her ambition. Each setback became a lesson, each challenge a stepping stone toward her dreams.
In October 2024, Yahhve took the TEDx stage at Kirorimal College, sharing her story of perseverance. If she had to name her life’s journey, she’d call it The Trial and Errors of Yahhve Sharma—a collection of moments that define her relentless pursuit of success.
Her story is still being written, and with every new role, Yahhve Sharma is proving that dreams, when pursued with passion, can become reality.
