Nathalia Kaur Interview
"Dreaming is the first step, but consistency and focus will never fail you."
1. From law student to actress and model — how did your journey begin, and what inspired the transition?
When I was a child, my mother worked a government job — the kind where everything was steady, predictable, and routine. Same place, same people, same tasks. I remember thinking, “I could never live like that. My life should feel like a new adventure every day.”
While I loved studying philosophy and engaging in debates during law school, I knew that lifestyle wasn’t enough for my endlessly creative mind. That’s when I felt the pull toward modeling and eventually acting.
2. What have been some of the most defining moments in your professional journey so far?
One of the most important lessons was choosing one path instead of trying to do too many things at once. I once heard, “Who does everything, does nothing,” and that really stuck with me.
Another defining realization was understanding that everyone is a critic. No matter how much effort you put into something, there will always be someone ready to comment — positively or negatively. And that’s okay. What truly matters is holding yourself to your own standards, working hard, and not carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders.
3. As someone who’s worked across different industries and countries, how do you maintain authenticity and balance?
For me, authenticity is about holding onto your essence over time. Yes, adjustments are sometimes necessary, but staying true to your core beliefs and values is what keeps you grounded.
Balance, on the other hand, is a journey. You can’t learn it in theory — you have to live it, experiment, and see what works best for you. I try to stay conscious of what nourishes me and what harms me, and that awareness helps me keep things in check.
4. How do you handle pressure, judgment, or misconceptions that come with being in the public eye?
As I mentioned, everyone is a critic — and I’m no exception, it’s part of human nature. Dealing with criticism is an ongoing process. What helps me is staying grounded and reminding myself that I did my best at that moment in time. No one will ever be universally accepted, and once you embrace that, it becomes easier to find contentment.
5. What does wellness — mental, physical, and spiritual — mean to you, and how do you prioritize it?
Wellness is everything. Your mind is your master, your body is your temple, and your soul is your guide. All three need to be nurtured. Feeding yourself physically, emotionally, and spiritually creates the foundation for everything else in life.
6. What message would you like to share with young women chasing unconventional dreams?
I’m not sure who defines what is “conventional” or not, but I believe dreaming is always the first step toward achieving. As the saying goes, “All is mind; the universe is mental.” Consistency should be the second step. Repetition and focus will never fail you.
7. Lastly, what’s next for you — any exciting upcoming projects or goals?
I recently took some time off to realign my life’s compass. It’s so important to pause, reflect on where you’ve been, and decide where you want to go next. Now, I’ve chosen to fight for my dreams with more passion than ever before — and yes, there’s an exciting project coming soon.
