I like having an opinion on things and I just broadcast that opinion using Instagram

Q. You describe yourself simply as a ‘reel creator,’ yet your content spans humour, trends, and personal moments. How would you define your creative identity today?

If I have to describe my creative Identity, I would say I am trying out my thoughts on whatever topic I see. I like having an opinion, and even more I like putting up that opinion in a sarcastic way. I believe people like listening things when mixed with humour.

Also, that's the way I am in real life as, I like having an opinion on things and I just broadcast that opinion using Instagram, it can be regarding anything, can be about my personal life, can be a social topic, a movie or sport.

Q. What was the first reel that made you realise people were actually paying attention and what did it teach you about the algorithm?

So when 2025 started, on 1st Jan specifically I was just scrolling through Insta and I came across this reel where there was a motivational speech or monologue, I don't remember exactly, but it said, write down 5 things you think you can practically do this year. So I just randomly thought lets right it down what's the worst that can happen and one among them was, 'be consistent on Instagram'.

So I started being consistent, and on 28th Feb I got my first million video. It is now at 9.9 million. That made me realise that if I stay consistent, I can do this. And never looked back ever since.

Q. You work with trending formats but add your own spin. How do you decide when to follow a trend and when to skip it?

More than following a trend it's more about having an opinion on the things I see and then post it, so I never sort down the trends, it's just I see something, if I feel like I have to say this about it, I just record it and post it.

Q. With relatively few posts and steady engagement, what’s your approach to consistency, discipline, instinct, or timing?

I don't have a schedule for posting a video, I just know that I have to post atleast 1 video a day. And I post it at any time of the day, if you see through my account, you will see, I had posted at any random times. I have posted at 4 in the morning and at 4 in the evening as well.

I believe, if the video is good, it will eventually make it's way irrespective of timing. Although Consistency is the key, it pays back in a positive way

Q. Your reels feel casual and unpolished in a good way. Do you think relatability matters more than perfection today?

I think, perfection is a word which is created just to make sure no one is truly satisfied with their work, it doesn't really exist. It's just an expectation. So yes, I think people like relatability more than perfection. They in some ways feel related to me through the videos.

Q. You’ve experimented with collabs early on. What makes a collaboration meaningful rather than just transactional?

I think there are two main reasons according to me, that actually makes me do a collab, I get an exposure to new audience to some extent and the other and most important is money, I get little extra to spend.

Q. From travel moments to meme commentary, your page feels personal without being overexposed. How do you decide what stays private?

I have this understanding, that there is a major part of my life I don't want anyone to know, that's the cut, that never makes it to the gram.

Q. When a reel underperforms, do you analyse it or move on quickly? What’s your relationship with numbers?

I use to worry alot about numbers early on, but once I grew comfortable with the numbers, they stopped bothering me, now I just post it and then I forget I had posted, although if I see a video is underperforming I do think why would that be, but I don't really stress my self with it.

Q. For someone starting out today, what’s the biggest misconception about becoming a reel creator?

For someone starting today, the very first thing I would say, just start it, there will always be people judging, irrespective of what you do, just shut them off of your mind and post, start posting, don't worry about edits or any other issues, post raw videos with zero editing, if you want, but just go for it.

Q. If Instagram removed trends for a month, what kind of content would you post just for yourself?

I would start sharing my day to day life, people will die of laughter, my life is funny, it keeps me entertained.
