Soni Interview
Q. How would you describe yourself beyond being a “digital creator” and an artist?
I don’t see myself as just a digital creator. I see myself as a creative soul. For me, creation is about expressing home, everyday life, faith, and emotions in a meaningful way. I don’t just make things—I infuse them with lived experiences, culture, and feeling.
Q. Your content blends art, DIY, food, and faith seamlessly. How do spirituality and creativity influence each other in your life?
For me, spirituality and creativity are deeply connected. When the mind is calm, creativity flows naturally. Prayer, devotion, and faith ground me from within, and that inner stillness reflects in my work. My creativity is born from my spirituality.
Q. Many of your projects feel deeply rooted in Indian culture and home aesthetics. Why do you think traditional creativity still resonates so strongly online?
Because tradition connects us to our roots. No matter how fast the digital world moves, people still seek comfort in home, culture, and simplicity. Indian traditions carry warmth and belonging, and that sense of familiarity resonates deeply with people.
Q. DIY content often looks simple on screen. What’s the most challenging part of creating something that appears effortless?
The most challenging part is planning and patience. What looks like a 30-second video often involves hours of effort, trial and error, and refinement. The real challenge is making the hard work invisible while keeping the result simple and natural.
Q. Being a creator from Jammu, do you feel geography shapes your perspective or creative voice in any way?
Yes, absolutely. The calmness of Jammu, the surrounding hills, and the simplicity of life here strongly influence my work. This environment keeps me grounded and gives my creativity a quiet, peaceful identity.
Q. With steady growth and a loyal audience, how do you measure success—numbers, impact, or personal satisfaction?
For me, success is not defined only by numbers. If my content inspires someone, brings them peace, or encourages them to create something of their own—that is true success. Growth matters, but genuine connection matters more.
Q. If “stop_n_paint” were not an Instagram page but a physical space, what would people experience the moment they walk in?
They would immediately feel a sense of calm and warmth. Soft fragrances, earthy tones, handmade pieces, a gentle spiritual presence, and an atmosphere without rush, just a space to pause and feel.
A place where art, home, and soul come together.
