Q. Fashion is often about self-expression. Was there ever a phase in your life when you felt unable to express who you really were?
Absolutely. For a long time, I was passionate about fashion and content creation, but I kept that side of myself hidden because I was focused on what felt safe. I was working a full-time retail job, and while I enjoyed aspects of it, I knew there was a more creative version of me that wasn’t getting enough room to grow.
Fashion became my first outlet for self-expression. It allowed me to share who I was without waiting for permission or validation from anyone else.
Q. You left the stability of a corporate career to pursue content creation. What fear kept you awake at night during that transition?
The biggest fear wasn’t failure—it was regret.I was afraid of reaching my late twenties and realizing I had never given myself a genuine opportunity to pursue what I truly wanted. Financial uncertainty was certainly a concern. Walking away from a stable salary is never an easy decision.
But more than anything, I feared living the same year repeatedly while knowing I was capable of building something different. That thought was far more unsettling than the possibility of failure.
Q. Can you recall a moment when you almost gave up on content creation? What stopped you from walking away?
There were moments when I spent days planning, filming, editing, and publishing content that barely reached an audience. It’s difficult when the effort invested doesn’t immediately translate into results.What kept me going was perspective. I looked at how far I had already come and reminded myself that meaningful growth rarely happens overnight. Every creator dreams of rapid success, but long-term progress usually belongs to those who stay committed longer than most people are willing to.
Q. Has there ever been a moment when your growth online made you question your self-worth offline? What happened?
Yes. There was a period when I became overly attached to performance metrics. When a video performed well, I felt confident. When it didn’t, I questioned myself.
Eventually, I realized that views are feedback—not a measure of self-worth. The internet can quantify reach, but it cannot measure character, discipline, resilience, or happiness. That shift in perspective changed the way I approached both content creation and personal growth.
Q. What is the biggest misconception people have about your life as a fashion creator, and what reality behind the scenes would surprise them most?
Most people assume fashion content creation is simply about dressing well, taking photos, and attending events.
The reality is that content creation is a business. Behind every post are scripts, negotiations, deadlines, revisions, strategy sessions, brand partnerships, editing, and the constant pressure to remain relevant in a rapidly evolving industry.
What audiences see on camera is only a small fraction of the work involved.
Q. If you could send one brutally honest text note to your younger self working at Puma, what would it say?
Stop waiting for the perfect time. Start before you feel ready.No one is coming to give you permission. Use your free time intentionally, trust your instincts, and stay consistent. The opportunities you’re hoping for will arrive—but only if you continue showing up when nobody is watching.
Success isn’t built in the spotlight. It’s built in the moments when most people would have quit.
